COD Modern Warfare 3’s Season 2 mid-update will feature the returning Bounty mode along with Hordepoint for Zombies.
Bounty mode is essentially a different style of TDM with the added element of a High-Value Target system (HVT).

Numerous fans are overjoyed by the new update to Call of Duty (COD) Warzone Season 2 and MW3 updates that brought several new maps, new stories and resurgence missions, exciting weapons, operators, and more.  Apart from the abovementioned features, the devs also decided to bring back the classic Bounty mode to Call of Duty.  This mode works similarly to TDM, where it clubs six players together as a team and duke it out with another team of six. However, Bounty mode encompasses a whole new set of rules, making the battle all the more exciting. Let’s delve into what entails.

How Does the Bounty Mode Work in Call of Duty MW3?

This classic game mode, first introduced in MW2 essentially comprises various elements from Team Deathmatch mode, where two groups of players battle it out with one another and the one with the highest kill count wins. Players have unlimited lives and they respawn once they are taken down. They get to choose their load-outs as well, allowing the use of versatile weapons for different situations.

However, the difference in Bounty Mode is that it introduces a new High-Value Target (HVT) system where the player with the highest number of kills becomes the HVT. They will be marked on your mini-map, essentially indicating that they are the Bounty, and taking them will reward your team with extra points. These targets change between the two teams after a certain time interval, and the first team to reach the point limit or secure the highest amount of points before the timer ends will be declared the winner.

HVT Marker

In MW2, the bounty targets were indicated by a blue or red crosshair marker. If you happen to be the one who killed the HVT, you will receive around twice the amount of points, allowing you to reach your score streaks faster, while also increasing the level-up XP for your weapons. While most players prefer the fast-paced running and gunning playstyle that Team Deathmatch offers, this Bounty mode will appeal more to gamers who enjoy the added strategic gameplay elements.

That is pretty much everything you need to know about this upcoming mode for COD MW3. You can jump into the Bounty Mode during the mid-season update for Season 2, along with the Hordepoint for Zombies, another definitive game mode where you need to defend yourself against hordes of both regular and elite undead creatures.
