Best Sakin MG38 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2

Light machine guns (LMGs) are underrated in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 due to the low mobility stats that almost all of them possess. However, the Sakin MG38 is much better than you think and it’s actually one of the best weapons to use if you are looking for a weapon with high damage range and consistency. With the right attachments, the Sakin performs quite well in Modern Warfare 2 even though it is not as effective in Warzone, DMZ, or Resurgence.

The Cronen Mini Pro is an excellent sight but you can also go for the Slimline Pro or SZ Mini which are equally viable options. The rest of the loadout improves the handling, damage range, and bullet velocity to turn the admittedly mediocre weapon into a solid workhorse LMG that shines in Modern Warfare 2.

• Base Perk 2: Strong Arm

• Bonus Perk: Spotter

• Ultimate Perk: Survivor

• Lethal: Semtex

• Tactical Equipment: Flash Grenade

As of Season 2, players get to customize their perks instead of relying on the perk packages, so you have a lot of room to work with. Overkill is just a great perk to have and we recommend it for quite a few weapons because of how versatile the perk is.

Semtex is a great option as a lethal but you can use whatever perks you want depending on what the other weapon in your loadout is. Pairing the weapon with an SMG is strongly recommended as LMGs hurt your mobility and make it difficult for players to win duels at close range unless you are deadly accurate.
