Asian Games 2022 LoL: All You Need to Know About Team Korea's Evaluation Matches
The 19th Asian Games is the first occasion where esports is an official medal event. It was initially scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China between 10th September and 25th September 2022. However, the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in China led to the postponement of the event to 2023. The 2022 Asian Games is all set to feature eight medal events and two demonstration events. Notably, Riot Games’ flagship esports title League of Legends is one of the eight medal events.
The Group Stage of the League of Legends event at Asian Games 2022 is scheduled to kick off on 25th September and the Korean team is one of the favorites to win it all. The scouting process for the Korean national team for League of Legends began in April 2022 but since the Asian Games got postponed, the Korea Esports Association (KeSPA) took time to announce the final roster.
Now, before the Asian Games 2022's League of Legends event kicks off, Team Korea is playing a couple of evaluation matches against Team Vietnam and Team Taiwan.

Team Korea Preps for League of Legends Asian Games 2022 with Evaluation Matches
Fans are already excited to see their favorite League of Legends stars compete in the League of Legends event at Asian Games in Hangzhou. Given that the Asian Games will be the big event right before Worlds 2022, the community is curious to see how the best players perform in this high-octane environment. Teams from South Korea, China, Vietnam, Japan, and many other countries are looking forward to taking on very strong opponents at the event.
Notably, Team Korea is playing two evaluation matches against Vietnam and Taiwan on League of Legends Patch 13.12, the same patch that will be used at the Asian Games, before heading to China. The matches will be best-of-three and the schedule is as follows:
11th September: Team Korea vs Team Vietnam
12th September: Team Korea vs Team Taiwan
Before getting into the details of the evaluation matches, let us take a closer look at the final roster of the Korean Team playing at Asian Games 2022. The KeSPA unveiled the official candidates for the League of Legends roster for Asian Games 2022 after an intense selection process. Notably, only six players out of the initial 20 made it to the final cut.
The final roster features three players from T1, one from Gen.G, and two players from JD Gaming. They are as follows:

When & Where to Watch Team Korea's Evaluation Matches?
Team Korea's evaluation match against Team Vietnam is already underway today on 11th September. It started at 8 pm KST or 12 pm BST. Notably, the second evaluation match will be on 12th September at 8 pm KST or 12 pm BST. Fans can watch both the games live on the KeSPA channels on YouTube and Twitch.
