Riot Games released Valorant in 2020 and over the years, has added many agents to its evolving game.
In this article, we’ll take a look at all the duelists that are part of the Valorant agent list.

Valorant, a tactical first-person shooter, has captured the hearts of gamers around the world with its strategic gameplay and a diverse cast of agents. Developed by Riot Games, it continues to introduce new and better agents in the game, among which duelists stand out as the most popular among fans. Duelists form the most picked array of agents in Valorant.

In this article, we’ll take a look at this colorful cast of Duelists, gliding through the game with just one objective in mind: Getting the most kills and the top fragging.

The Duelists in Valorant are Phoenix, Reyna, Jett, Raze, Yoru, and Neon.

Who are Duelists?

The game Valorant defines its category of agents called Duelists as "self-sufficient fraggers who their team expects, through abilities and skills, to get high frags and seek out engagements first."

These are agents with abilities that are meant to debilitate the opponent and cause the most damage. They also come with self-fueling abilities to capture the most kills. For instance, Raze’s Paint Shells are grenades meant to inflict damage, while Reyna’s Devour ability is meant to heal her damage through the enemy’s soul orbs.

In a Valorant roster, these agents are the ones to enter the battlefield and secure the map for their teammates. They are self-sufficient in their abilities, being the only one’s who can recharge their abilities upon getting kills.

Unlike other Agent classes, the Signature abilities for Duelists need to be recharged with two kills rather than over a period of time.

Let us take a look at all the Duelists in Valorant one by one.

All Valorant Duelists

Phoenix

Phoenix

Phoenix, just like his name suggests, is a lad who has a lot to do with fire. His cheeky voice lines and blazing enthusiasm ignite the battlefield with passion, using fire as and when he pleases. He is one of the earliest and the longest running agents in the game. He is also one of the easiest agents to learn and master if you are new to the game.

His swift gait and self-sufficiency make him one of the most enjoyable agents in the game. His abilities are as follows:

Q - Curveball: Equip a flare orb that takes a curving path and detonates shortly after throwing. Fire to curve the flare orb to the left, detonating and blinding any player who sees the orb. Alternate fire to curve the flare orb to the right.

E - Hot Hands: Equip a fireball. Fire to throw a fireball that explodes after a set amount of time or upon hitting the ground, creating a lingering fire zone that damages enemies.

C - Blaze: Equip a flame wall. Fire to create a line of flame that moves forward, creating a wall of fire that blocks vision and damages players passing through it. Hold Fire to bend the wall in the direction of your crosshair.

X - Run It Back: Instantly place a marker at Phoenix’s location. While this ability is active, dying or allowing the timer to expire will end this ability and bring Phoenix back to this location with full health.

Reyna

Reyna

One of the most formidable agents in the game, Reyna has access to dark, ethereal abilities that help her dominate every single combat. Her soul-hungry persona is exemplified by her mysterious voice lines and lore, which consume every player that chooses her.

Players who are able to align her abilities with the right stars have always come out invincible. Solo competitive is always an intense battle with Reyna, as she goes on a killing spree.

Her ability to debilitate her enemies with the Dismiss ability is truly fascinating, making her invincible for a few seconds. Her abilities are as follows:

Q - Devour: Enemies killed by Reyna leave behind Soul Orbs that last 3 seconds. Instantly consume a nearby soul orb, rapidly healing for a short duration. Health gained through this skill exceeding 100 will decay over time. If Empress is active, this skill will automatically cast and not consume the orb.

E - Dismiss: Instantly consume a nearby soul orb, becoming intangible for a short duration. If Empress is active, also become invisible.

C - Leer: Equip an ethereal destructible eye. Activate to cast the eye a short distance forward. The eye will Nearsight all enemies who look at it.

X - Empress: Instantly enter a frenzy, increasing firing speed, equip and reload speed dramatically. Scoring a kill renews the duration.

Jett

Jett

Hailing from the land of South Korea, Jett is one of the most popular agents in the game. Known for her mastery of air, she can glide through the wind and send her daggers flying through her enemies. Her abilities can be quite challenging to master, but once you get through the hooks and crooks of them, she is quite fun to play around with. Dashing through the air, she keeps a vigilant eye on her enemies, rarely missing her aim.

Jett’s lightning fast strikes skim through the air and attack the enemies even before they know what hit them. Her abilities are as follows:

Q - Updraft: Instantly propel Jett high into the air.

E - Tailwind: Activate to prepare a gust of wind for a limited time. Re-use the wind to propel Jett in the direction she is moving. If Jett is standing still, she propels forward

C - Cloudburst: Instantly throw a projectile that expands into a brief vision-blocking cloud on impact with a surface. Hold the ability key to curve the smoke in the direction of your crosshair.

X - Blade Storm: Equip a set of highly accurate knives that recharge on killing an opponent. FIRE to throw a single knife at your target. Alternate fire to throw all remaining daggers at your target.

Raze

Raze

Raze is another popular agent in the game who boasts her exploding personality, busting from the lively streets of Brazil. The game describes her gameplay as ‘blunt-force trauma playstyle’ that can enliven any scene with her big personality.

Her abilities are as follows:

Q - Blast Pack: Instantly throw a Blast Pack that will stick to surfaces. Re-use the ability after deployment to detonate, damaging and moving anything hit. Raze isn't damaged by this ability, but will still take fall damage if launched up far enough.

E - Paint Shells: Equip a cluster grenade. Fire to throw the grenade, which does damage and creates sub-munitions, each doing damage to anyone in their range.

C - Boom Bot: Equip a Boom Bot. Firewill deploy the bot, causing it to travel in a straight line on the ground, bouncing off walls. The Boom Bot will lock on to any enemies in its frontal cone and chase them, exploding for heavy damage if it reaches them.

X - Showstopper: Equip a rocket launcher. Fire shoots a rocket that does massive area damage on contact with anything.

Yoru

Yoru

Yoru's ability to traverse through space and time, undetected, makes him a desirable agent in the game. Often found planting or defusing the spike, he is mostly suitable for guerilla-type attacks that frequently shock enemies. He can also create clones of himself and send them sprawling through the map to take opponents by surprise. Donning a futuristic costume, Yoru can penetrate any battlefield with his blinding flashes and powerful, jumpy strides throughout the map.

His confident voice lines, paired with his aggressive persona, make him a popular choice in the game. His abilities are as follows:

Q - Blindside: Equip to rip an unstable dimensional fragment from reality. Fire to throw the fragment, activating a flash that winds up once it collides with a hard surface in world.

E - Gatecrash: Equip a rift tether Fire to send the tether forward Alt Fire to place a stationary tether Activate to teleport to the tether's location Use to trigger a fake teleport.

C - Fakeout: Equip an echo that transforms into a mirror image of Yoru when activated Fire to instantly activate the mirror image and send it forward Alt Fire to place an inactive echo to transform an inactive echo into a mirror image and send it forward. X - Dimensional Drift: Equip a mask that can see between dimensions. Fire to drift into Yoru's dimension, unable to be affected or seen by enemies from the outside.

Neon

Neon

Introduced much later in the game, Neon is a Filipino agent who strides through her enemies with fast-paced bioelectric radiance. She can run ahead of her enemies and then trap them in her stuns. Released back in January 2022, players were not very receptive of her initially, mistaking her for a replacement for Jett. However, with the passage of time, many players have realized her potential, often picking her up in competitive rounds to catch enemies off-guard.

She can shield her teammates with walls of light, damage enemies with her stuns and kill them off with maximum damage with her electrifying skills. Her abilities are as follows:

Q - Relay Bolt: Instantly throw an energy bolt that bounces once. Upon hitting each surface, the bolt electrifies the ground below with a concussive blast.

E - High Gear: Instantly channel Neon’s power for increased speed. When charged, Alternate Fire to trigger an electric slide. Slide charge resets every two kills.

C - Fast Lane: Fire two energy lines forward on the ground that extend a short distance or until they hit a surface. The lines rise into walls of static electricity that block vision and damage enemies passing through them.

X - Overdive: Unleash Neon’s full power and speed for a short duration. Fire to channel the power into a deadly lightning beam with high movement accuracy. The duration resets on each kill.
