Here's all you need to know about the cameos in Arena mode.

Arena is a featured game mode in League of Legends that Riot Games released on 20th July 2023. In this team deathmatch-like (TDM) game mode, players battle against each other in four teams of two, and gain power by using unique Augments just like in Teamfight Tactics (TFT) until just one team is left standing. The 2v2 battles in Arena mode take place on four different battlefields that vary in size, and theme. While shopping items, Augments, and the actual combat make up the bulk of the new game mode, it is also graced by special appearances by Soul Fighters through cameos.

Notably, Soul Fighter is the big 2023 Summer Event in the universe of Runeterra, and Riot Games is releasing an array of Soul Fighter skins as part of the event. These Soul Fighter champions appear on different combat rounds in Arena mode through cameos.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Cameos in Arena Mode: Who Appears in Battle?

During the 2023 Soul Fighters event, Arena mode is featuring brief appearances from Soul Fighter champions. Starting at Round 4 of combat, there is a chance for one of these champions to join the battle as a neutral-team enemy. Notably, each Soul Fighter champion has a unique spell that acts as a hazard on the battlefield, thus altering the way the round is fought.

As per LoL Patch 13.14, the Soul Fighter champions who will make an appearance in the Arena mode are Lux, Naafiri, Pyke, Samira, and Sett. The rest of the Soul Fighters – Evelynn, Gwen, Jhin, Shaco, and Viego – are expected to arrive in Arena mode as part of cameos in the next patch: LoL Patch 13.15.

Here are all the Soul Fighter cameos and their unique spells in the 2v2v2v2 game mode:

  • Lux: Lux will act like a rotating tripwire, casting her ultimate Final Spark. Any champion who triggers it will take damage.

  • Naafiri: Naafiri and her pack of dogs will go around the battlefield. Once a player is caught in their vision, the packmates will lunge at the champion and deal damage.

  • Pyke: Occasionally Pyke will cast his E: Phantom Undertow at the furthest player on the battlefield.

  • Samira: She uses Daredevil Impulse (Passive) when a player is immobilized, then casts Inferno Trigger (R ) after six times.

  • Sett: There will be a large Sett roaming around the battle arena. Players can deal damage to Sett and he will also occasionally take passive damage. When a player kills Sett, Sett will cast a big area of effect damage toward the team opposite of the one that killed him.

Arena Cameos

Future Cameos:

  • Evelynn: Evelynn will grant all players the ability to camouflage during battle.

  • Gwen: Gwen will occasionally protect the player with the lowest maximum health with her Hallowed Mist ability.

  • Jhin: The attack-damage carry (ADC) will cast his ultimate Curtain Call, and he will take alternating shots between players present on the battlefield.

  • Shaco: Shaco will walk around the arena and place his boxes.

  • Viego: The first player to die is revived and gains Viego's spells for a brief duration.
