Here are the 5 Best Tips to Improve in Apex Legends According to HisWattson.

Apex Legends is a fast-paced competitive game where split-second decisions can mean the difference between a win and having your squad wiped. Apex pros like FURIA’s captain Jacob "HisWattson" McMillin, who know how to get it done, shared his tips about the 5 best tips to improve in Apex Legends. The ALGS: 2022 Championship MVP took to Twitter to share his tips for improving your Apex game. You can use these tips to climb the ranked ladder or to just simply to step up your game. Here are the 5 Best Tips to Improve in Apex Legends according to HisWattson.

HisWattson’s 5 most powerful tips to improve at Apex Legends

1. Play with a purpose.

If you are playing "just to play" or playing "just to improve" you will not get better. You need an actual goal and it needs to consume you. The unhealthier, the better, like reaching Masters, reaching Apex Predator or even winning a tournament. Basically, aim for the stars.

2. See yourself in the 3rd person.

Being able to see yourself in the 3rd person is the most effective way to make sure you're not standing in a horrible spot. The farther back and more angles you can see yourself from the better you will position yourself.

3. Perception is everything

Use the geometry of the maps to position yourself better. Creating more potential space to strafe and dodge at all angles is important. In the scenarios pictured by the pro, there are opportunities to dodge behind cover in some of the instances while you’re out in the open for the others, making you more vulnerable. The crux is to make your opponent easy to hit and make yourself hard to hit with map geometry.

Picking fights using the map's features to your advantage is important.

4. Train your weaknesses

Find creative ways to focus on training the weak aspects of your play to make yourself more well rounded. HisWattson gives an example, “my comms were getting lazy so I would go into firing range and pretend to play and scream everything I did. and it helped. A lot.” You can use aim trainers to identify where you lack.

5. Play Overwatch

This game is cracked for training mechanics and is more engaging than playing an aim trainer. 8-10 hours a week of ranked Soldier 76, Cassidy, and Ashe will help you more than you think. If you can hit Tracers and Lucios, aiming in apex will be cake.
