Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was banned last year and players are still waiting for its return. But until an official statement is made by Krafton regarding the return of the game, players have no choice but to move to other games. If you are not sure which games to transition to, here are the top five alternatives to BGMI after its ban.
Indus
Indus is an upcoming game that is being developed by India-based developer SuperGaming. The upcoming game will focus on the Indus Valley civilization, a topic that a majority of Indians studied during their history classes but was not discussed in detail. It is a battle royale title that is set to release later this year.

iOS pre-registrations will be available soon.
FOG
FOG mixes MOBA elements into a battle-royale format. Unlike traditional MOBAs where you are locked to a single character, FOG lets you change your gear and armor and adapt to the battlefield. The MOBA-style controls are easy to use and the mechanics are fairly straightforward.

PUBG New State
New State Mobile is a spinoff game set in the future of the PUBG universe and is one of the best alternatives to BGMI. The game has better visuals and faster gameplay than PUBG mobile. But it is a resource-hungry game and just like Free Fire Max, you need a capable smartphone to play the game. Tournament organizers are also currently focusing on New State events now that BGMI is unavailable.

Fortnite
Fortnite by Epic Games continues to be one of the most dominant battle royales in the market. The game might not have the same amount of hype it used to during the first three years of its launch, but it still is one of the most played games right now. With regular updates and crossover events taking place in-game, the Fortnite community is massive and it is worth jumping into as a BGMI fan.

Call of Duty: Mobile
Call of Duty: Mobile might not have the same massive playerbase as BGMI or Free Fire in India, but it still has a sizeable audience and it is one of the most popular mobile shooters in the world. The game has a host of weapons, guns, and operators inspired by the PC and console titles. There are numerous game modes and dozens of maps that have been added over the years.
