Fortnite Festival is a brand-new musically inspired mode coming to Epic Games' title, which features big names like The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and more.
Here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite Festival, including its release date, mode details, and all artists.

With the introduction of three new game modes, the Chapter 5 launch, and the Big Bang event, last week was undoubtedly one of the wildest weeks in Fortnite’s history. However, this week isn’t any slouch either, as Fortnite is all set to deliver an electrifying musical experience with the launch of the upcoming Fortnite Festival mode.

Fortnite Festival is a new and innovative rhythm-based game mode that brings players a unique blend of gaming, music, and exclusive rewards through the event. That’s not all, though; we’re going to see some of the biggest music stars feature in the event, such as The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and many more.

Wondering when the Fortnite Festival starts? We’ve got you covered! Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Festival release date.

When Does Fortnite Festival Mode Release?

Fortnite Festival mode is set to release on 9th December 2023 across all regions in which the game is available. Given how many big artists have featured in Fortnite, it’s quite surprising that it’s taken this long for Epic Games to bring a music-based game mode to the game.

What is Fortnite Festival Mode?

Fortnite Festival comes courtesy of Harmonix, which Epic Games took over back in 2021. If you don’t know the name, Harmonix is  known for electrifying the music game genre with titles such as Guitar Hero, Dance Central, and Rock Band. There’s clearly no one else other than Harmonix who can create an ultimate musical experience for Fortnite.

According to Epic Games,

“Fortnite Festival is a new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favorite artists.”

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Fortnite explore music with in-game concerts with big-name artists such as Eminem and Travis Scott. However, this is Epic Games’ first attempt to dive into the genre, with more big names to feature in the future.

Who is Performing in the Fortnite Festival?

As of now, Fortnite Festival has confirmed 26 artists, including the Weeknd, who are going to perform on the weekend; who would’ve thought? Players will be able to purchase The Weeknd Event pass alongside the Fortnite Festival launch, which will feature items for both free and paid tiers.

However, that’s not all! We’re also going to see big music industry names such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, and many others perform.
