Two-time The International (TI) finalist Aliwi "w33" Omar has joined Alliance's Dota 2 roster on Valve's Majors Registration Page.
This addition comes after Alliance Chief Strategy Officer Kelly "kellymilkies" Ong had previously stated in January 2022 that they could not get w33 on board since he was against teams such as Alliance that have betting companies as sponsors.
In addition to w33, former Into The Breach player Moiez "symetricaL" Lin Mahmood and former Brame player Nikolay "CTOMAHEH1" Kalchev have also been added to Alliance's Dota 2 roster on the Majors Registration Page.

Two-time The International (TI) finalist Aliwi "w33" Omar has joined Alliance's Dota 2 roster on the Majors Registration Page ahead of Tour 2 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22. This is an interesting development since Kelly "kellymilkies" Ong, Alliance's Chief Strategy Officer, stated last month that the team had been in talks with w33, but he decided against joining since he was opposed to teams with betting sponsors. Alliance is currently sponsored by betting companies.

Furthermore, the European organization has also added former Into The Breach player Moiez "symetricaL" Lin Mahmood and former Brame player Nikolay "CTOMAHEH1" Kalchev to its roster on Valve's Majors Registration Page.

W33 joins Alliance’s new roster for DPC 2021-22 Tour 2 on Valve’s Majors Registration Page

As a result of the additions of w33, symetrical, and CTOMAHEH1 to its Dota 2 roster in the past day, Alliance now has a total of five players registered on the Majors Registration Page. However, an official announcement about Alliance's new lineup has not been made yet.

Alliance's Dota 2 roster from position one through five should look like this:

  1. Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov

  2. Aliwi "w33" Omar

  3. Moiez "symetricaL" Lin Mahmood

  4. Adam "Aramis" Moroz

  5. Nikolay "CTOMAHEH1" Kalchev

A lot of talks have been swirling around w33's inclusion in Alliance ever since the team parted ways with Gustav "s4" Magnusson, Linus "Limmp" Blomdin, and Artsiom "Fng" Barshak after The International 10 (TI10). As the final roster was announced for Tour 1 of the DPC 2021-22, Ondřej "Supream^" Štarha would be Alliance's midlaner instead of w33. After a disastrous performance in Tour 1 resulted in the team being relegated to Division 2, talks of w33 joining Alliance again began to surface.

Kellymilkies had then replied to explain that since the player is religious and does not want to be associated with teams such as Alliance that have betting companies as sponsors, the team was unable to get him on board. She stated that she had tried to reduce the sponsor obligations for w33, but the two could not work out an agreement.

However, a month later, after the team scrambled to put together a roster for Tour 2 of the DPC 2021-22, w33 has eventually joined. Since being moved to Nigma Galaxy's inactive roster in April 2021, W33 has largely remained out of competitive Dota 2.

The Gamers Galaxy: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022 event, which begins on 2nd March, will, however, feature him as Nigma Galaxy's stand-in midlaner. Vincent "AlaCrity" Hiew Teck Yoong is taking a break.

Additionally, Alliance has had players symetricaL and CTOMAHEH1 playing in Dota 2 Champions League S8 as stand-ins, but as indicated on the Majors Registration website now, both players are expected to officially join the team. CTOMAHEH1, who previously played as the position four player for Brame, has been serving as Alliance's position five player and also its captain. Former Coolguys midlaner Tony "No!ob" Assaf has been serving as the team’s midlane player.

Through a blend of experience and talent, Alliance will aim to rebound in Tour 2 of the DPC 2021-22 and return to Division 1 for the third Tour.
