Virtus.pro Welcomes Xakoda From Team Spirit’s Academy Roster as Illias Goes Inactive
Virtus.pro will be playing the remainder of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Eastern Europe (EEU) 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1 with a stand-in, since position five player Illias "Illias" Ganeev (formerly known as "Kingslayer") has gone inactive to focus on his health and private life. The position five role of Illias will be filled by Egor “Xakoda” Lipartiya, a member of Team Spirit's academy roster, as per the announcement on Twitter by Virtus.pro. In the EEU league, Virtus.pro still has three series left to play. It is in fifth place and has two wins and two losses in four series so far.
Virtus.pro to play with a stand-in, Xakoda as its position five player Illias goes inactive
“Xakoda is a promising young player who has already reached 10K MMR,” according to Virtus.pro’s statement on Twitter.
As for Illias, it thanked him for his time on the team, perhaps signalling a roster change in the future. In addition, the organization announced that the final roster for the next season will be announced after the current season.
Virtus.pro’s squad for the remainder of the DPC EEU 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1 is as follows:
Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko
Danil "gpk" Skutin (captain)
Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
Danial "yamich" Lazebnyy
Egor “Xakoda” Lipartiya
Illias "Illias" Ganeev (inactive)
Vitaly “Save-” Melnik (inactive)
Anatoly “boolk” Ivanon (coach)
Xakoda, a lesser known player in top-tier competitive Dota 2, has played in qualifiers for various tournaments in the past year but has had little success. As per Virtus.pro, Xakoda currently plays for Team Spirit's academy team. It is unknown who are the other members of Team Spirit's academy team.
With Xakoda now joining the reputed Virtus.pro squad, he will be hoping to make a name for himself. The squad has not been in the best shape since losing both its safelaner Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko and support/captain Save- during the post-TI10 roster shuffle. Virtus.pro was the EEU raid boss last season, having won every series it played in the two leagues. This season, however, the team is currently in fifth place with two wins and two losses. From the region, PuckChamp, Team Spirit, and HellRaisers, all appear to be leading candidates for the three Major slots, so Virtus.pro has a lot of work to put in for the remaining series.
Next up for Virtus.pro will be Team Empire on 7th Jan 2022 as the second half of DPC 2021-22 Tour 1 commences.
