Virtus.pro has shown pure dominance in Group A of the ESL One Fall 2021: Bootcamp Edition, not dropping a single map at the conclusion of the group stage. From both groups, four teams have advanced to the playoffs. On the other hand, ESL One Fall 2021 eliminated Creepwave and Thunder Predator from Group A and Team Liquid and SG esports from Group B.

Group A

In Group A of ESL One Fall 2021, Virtus.pro was an impenetrable force. Their performance against Creepwave, Team Spirit, and Thunder Predator was sensational as they easily won the three series 2-0. Despite a strong effort from Tundra Esports, the 2-0 win for Virtus.pro was led by an outstanding mid performance from gpk, who had a KDA of 20-2-6 and 12-0-15 in the first and the second game respectively.

In the first game of its final series against T1, Virtus.pro found itself on the verge of defeat. A 40k loss in net worth rendered them unable to fight the enemy head-on. They had, however, exposed the enemy Ancient with their tower and split pushing heroes. Virtus.pro, on realizing in a moment in the game that the enemy had strayed away from its base, went all-in on the Ancient with their cores and surprisingly, took it down without a hitch despite it having Backdoor Protection online.

In the second game, T1 had an unfavorable draft. The team played aggressively in the game to align their performance with the draft, but it wasn't enough to defeat Virtus.pro.

Here are the Group A standings after the group stage. In the playoffs, the top two teams advance to the upper bracket, whereas the third and fourth place teams move to the lower bracket.

Group B

In Group B of ESL One Fall 2021, beastcoast and PSG.LGD were the top two teams. Both teams ended the group stage with a 7-3 win-loss record. A 2-0 victory for beastcoast was achieved in the head-to-head matchup between these two teams. Nonetheless, this was PSG.LGD's first series in this event. The Chinese team lost only one of its next eight matches after that.

Group B was relatively more competitive than Group A. All teams brought their A-game at times, but beastcoast, PSG.LGD, Alliance, and Team Empire were a little more consistent than the other two. As a matter of fact, Team Liquid lost the playoff spot due to a tiebreaker rule after having the same match record as Team Empire.

Here are the Group B standings after the group stage

ESL One Fall 2021's playoff action kick starts on 26th Aug 2021 with Team Spirit vs Team Empire in the lower bracket followed by Virtus.pro vs PSG.LGD in the upper bracket.
