Tundra Esports Stomps Nigma Galaxy to Remain Undefeated in WEU DPC Tour 2
Tundra Esports has taken its third series win in a row by defeating Nigma Galaxy 2-0 in the Western Europe (WEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 2: Division 1. It was impressive to watch Tundra in this third series as it not only presented some exceptional hero drafting strategies but also executed them on an excellent level. Although both games were evenly poised after the laning stage, Tundra understood them so well that it massively outclassed Nigma to take the wins. This is the second consecutive loss for Nigma in the WEU DPC 2021-22 Tour 2.
Nigma Galaxy vs Tundra Esports: Match Recap and Highlights
Recap
In game 1, it was not as action-packed as both teams won the lanes they were supposed to based on their matchups. In the middle stages, the two sides showed rather cautious movements before Tundra exploded with a powerful BKB timing. There were a number of Tundra heroes equipped with BKBs, which allowed them to run over the magic-focused draft of Nigma. Things only went downhill for Nigma from there, as it lost in 42 minutes.
In game 2, Tundra once again used the Pangolier-Keeper of the Light (KOTL) duo, but Nigma was once again unable to stop the pair's effectiveness. Nin was a particular pain for Nigma to deal with as he made some sharp moves after the laning stage to put Tundra ahead. It was only iLTW getting some farm on his safelane Phantom Assassin for Nigma, but before he could take control for his team, Tundra ended the game in just 29 minutes.
Highlights
Here are some highlights of the series.
In its first series, Tundra lost to Entity in game one, but has since gone on a ruthless run, winning five games in a row to clinch series wins over Entity, Team Secret, and now Nigma Galaxy.
The versatility of its players makes this team very effective when it comes to drafting, and when combined with the fact that the team demonstrates perhaps the highest level of game knowledge currently in the WEU DPC, it makes Tundra the superior team in its games. It has been difficult for teams to contend with the aggression of Tundra in the middle stages.
After taking third place in the Gamers Galaxy event earlier this month, Nigma has been unable to replicate that performance in Tour 2. Both of its games against OG and Tundra have been fairly one-sided and it has lost both by a score of 2-0.
Next, both Nigma and Tundra will play their next series on 2nd April. Nigma will face Brame, while Tundra shall face OG.
