Tundra Esports Renews Its Dota 2 Roster Until 2024

Tundra Esports has extended its Dota 2 team's contract until 2024, giving all five players a three-year commitment. The London based organization highlighted that it always had the goal of building this roster long-term and that with this new deal they were able to “sign one of the longest standing contracts in Dota 2.” Tundra Esports had signed this roster during the early days of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021. The team had been unable to qualify for The International 10 (TI10) despite a sincere effort in the Western Europe (WEU) qualifier.

“We are excited to announce all 5 of our #Dota2 players have signed new long-term contracts with the club until 2024,” announced Tundra Esports.

Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 roster consists of the following players:

1. Oliver “Skiter” Lepko

2. Leon “Nine” Kirilin

3. Neta “33” Shapira

4. Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu

5. Adrian “Fata'' Trink (captain)

On the extension of the roster's contract, Fata said:

“We got really close to qualifying for The International this year, and we think we’ve got what it takes to get there. The team is really excited to push ourselves, and Tundra’s support made it so much easier for us to fully focus on playing. I am very confident with the support from Tundra we will be able to continue this improvement to reach new heights in the upcoming DPC season and beyond.”

Tundra Esports signed this team when it was known as "mudgolems." The team's position four player was Malthe "Biver" Winther then, but he retired midway through the DPC season and Sneyking filled his position. A stacked WEU region meant that the team did not yield the best results in either of the two regional leagues. The team surprised everyone with a strong performance in TI's qualifier, but it lost to OG in a very close grand final.

The team was a force to be reckoned with in the two third party events, ESL One Fall 2021 and OGA Dota PIT Invitational. Tundra Esports made its mark. Using unconventional strategies that involved position five Night Stalkers and midlane Keeper of the Lights, Tundra Esports slaughtered its opponents one after the other. The team won ESL One Fall 2021 and placed third at the OGA Dota PIT Invitational.

In preparation for the upcoming DPC season, Fata and his teammates will be attending its bootcamp later this week. Additionally, the organization noted that it had partnered with Adamas Esports to assist with the holistic development of its players both inside and outside the game. Tundra Esports will compete in the Upper Division of the WEU DPC league.
