Tundra Esports Hammers OG to Reach TI10 WEU Qualifier Grand Final

Tundra Esports entered The International 10 (TI10) Western Europe Qualifier (WEU) upper bracket final against OG with all guns blazing, outdrafting and outplaying the two-time TI champions en route to a 2-0 victory. The early portions of the first game showed some promise for OG, but after that, Tundra Esports dominated them. It was easy for Fata and his team to defeat OG in the second match as they outsmarted them right from the drafting phase. Tundra Esports is still undefeated in TI10’s WEU qualifier and has now punched a grand final ticket following this win whereas OG falls to the lower bracket final.

Recap

Game 1 saw Tundra give OG a taste of their own medicine with an unconventional mid Winter Wyern for Nine. Nine showed off the latent power of the hero by using its Aghanim’s Scepter and finishing with a KDA of 11-2-8. Although OG initially took down the Roshan, they could not turn it into something substantial. Then, riding Nine's Winter Wyvern, Tundra displayed exquisite teamfighting skills to win the first game in 33 minutes.

Game 2 was an outdraft by Tundra as OG did not seemingly have any synergy between their heroes. They had an offlane Alchemist, a safelane Leshrac, and a mid Arc Warden. The early game was a disaster for OG as they got rolled over by Nine. Tundra, with an insurmountable lead, seemed to let the lead slip away with a couple of bad teamfight engagements but steadied afterward to take a win in 42 minutes

Tundra Esports is looking better than ever this entire DPC season. In the three upper bracket series they have played in this qualifier, they have not lost a single match, and most of these victories have been clean and comprehensive. They successfully countered two of OG's primary strategies today - the offlane Magnus and the offlane Alchemist.

Tundra Esports seem to be the favorites in the grand final based on the form and the strong fundamentals they have shown in this very event.

OG was considered to be a deadly opponent after the win over Team Nigma, but he got outsmarted today. As Tundra kept beating them in almost every department, they looked out of sorts in their plans. In both matches, OG fought fiercely, but Tundra was always one step ahead.

In the lower bracket final, OG will face the winner of Team Nigma vs Team Liquid.
