TNC Predator vs BOOM Esports: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game 1 saw a fairly quiet laning phase as both teams chose to farm on their cores. TNC, however, accelerated their pace when they hit initial item timings, picking off heroes one by one. BOOM’s draft did not help either since they were very single-target oriented, making it tricky to engage in teamfights. A cautious and meticulous TNC won the first game in 45 minutes.

In Game 2, TNC played exceptionally well in the laning stage. Their heroes, however, started to find themselves stranded in various parts of the map one by one. As well in the teamfights, TNC did not prioritize targets as all of their heroes attacked different enemies. BOOM, on the other hand, was spectacular with its teamfighting as they won in 42 minutes.

Game 3 saw TNC dominate the laning phase, but BOOM managed a great fightback to level the match. Following that, both teams won teamfights and the game went back and forth. Whenever it looked like one team would take it away, the other would come back with some top-notch gameplay. In the end, it was TNC winning the game in 63 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

TNC Predator and BOOM Esports both seemed to give their best in this series, particularly the third game where it came down to a buyback battle. In a few moments, the grand final between TNC and Fnatic will begin, and TNC will look to carry this momentum and seek revenge on Fnatic from the upper bracket final loss. Only one of these two teams will prevail in this BO5 series, the most important of the year so far for both sides.

BOOM Esports looked incredible and surpassed expectations throughout the TI10 qualifier. Their form during the second DPC season was poor, relegating them to the Lower Division, but they made a strong comeback. Taking this loss in stride, BOOM Esports will aim to come back stronger in the next DPC season.
