Highlights
The International 2023 (TI12)'s group stage has ended and with it, the 16 teams who will compete in the Playoffs for the lion's share of the prize pool have been determined.
The Playoffs of TI12 will be held from 20th October till 23rd October.

With the end of the group stage for The International 2023 (TI12), the 16 teams that will participate in the playoffs have been determined. As of the end of the group stage, Team SMG, Thunder Awaken, beastcoast and PSG Quest have all been eliminated from TI12.

Of the remaining 16 teams, eight have been seeded in the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the other eight are seeded in the lower bracket. The International 2023 (TI12) playoffs will be held from October 20 - October 22 (Playoffs Weekend) at the Seattle Convention Center.

  • All the series are best-of-3 (BO3)

  • Sixteen teams play in a double-elimination bracket

  • Eight teams begin in the Upper Bracket, and the remaining eight in the Lower Bracket

  • The top 8 teams (4 in the upper bracket, 4 in the lower bracket) will move on to the next phase of The International 2023.

The playoffs are divided into two phases, with the first phase scheduled from October 20 to 23. This initial phase will be held at the Seattle Convention Center's Summit.

The International 2023 (TI12) is likely to be the best Dota 2 tournament of the year. Beginning with the Playoff Stage on October 20, we'll see some heated upper bracket matches between teams like Team Spirit and Virtus.pro, along with some tense lower bracket matches including Tundra vs Entity and Evil Geniuses vs Gaimin Gladiators.

The International 2023 already saw lots of big surprises in the group stage from teams like Talon Esports and Nouns Esports. While Talon Esports knocked tournament favorites Gaimin Gladiators to the lower bracket, nouns pushed Tundra to the lower bracket run at TI12. Till now, Team Spirit's undefeated run has been a treat to watch.

There is no doubt that this is the biggest tournament of the year. Expect some incredible action as we approach the event's conclusion.
