Alliance has released the tentative schedule for the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2022. According to a tweet from the organization, DPC 2022 will take place from November 2021 until August 2022. A total of three regional leagues and three majors will be held during this phase. This report aligns with the fact that Valve originally intended to host three regional leagues and three majors from DPC 2021 onwards but they shortened it to two regional leagues and two majors in the preceding season due to the current pandemic. At the time of writing this article, Valve has not made an official announcement regarding the schedule of DPC 2022.

DPC 2022 dates are reportedly out

The International 10 (TI10) commencing on 7th Oct 2021 marks the end of the DPC 2021. While the hype around TI rises, Alliance has revealed the dates for the next season of the DPC through a tweet.

As stated by the organization, the DPC 2022 will begin on 29th Nov 2021 and shall go on till 22nd Dec 2021. The regional league will then take a break over Christmas and New Year, before returning on 5th Jan 2022 and concluding on 23rd Jan 2022. The first Major of the DPC 2022 will take place from 17th to 27th Feb 2021.

After nearly a month off, the second regional league will run from 14th March to 24th April 2022. The second Major will be held from 11th to 21st May 2022.

After a two-week break, the third and final regional league will be held from 6th June to 17th July 2022. The third Major will be held from 4th to 14th August 2022.

The organization noted that the dates for the Majors were not confirmed, but shall most likely play out as per the mentioned schedules.

The final Major is expected to conclude in the middle of August, after which regional qualifiers will likely be held. The tweet did not mention the dates of the qualifiers. Furthermore, based on this information, it seems likely that The International 2022, like The International 2021, will be held in the Fall of next year.

Valve communicated last year that this format of three regional leagues and three Majors shall be integrated into Dota 2's competitive scene as per the recently completed season of DPC 2021. Due to the pandemic, the season initially got pushed back, and when it was relaunched in January 2021, two regional leagues and two majors were all that remained. TI10 was then scheduled to take place in Sweden in September 2021 but after talks with Sweden not panning out, the event was postponed. The event was then relocated to October 2021 in Bucharest, Romania.

TI10 will now be held from 7th-17th Oct 2021. Based on the information from Alliance, around 40 days will pass after the conclusion of TI10, after which the first season of DPC 2022 begins.
