Team Spirit's roster may change ahead of the second Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC 2023)
This was revealed in a recent Telegram post by Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, who stated that he was not joking about it.
This comes after Team Spirit placed 7th-8th at the Lima Major 2023.

With the Lima Major 2023 having concluded, it's time for the teams to evaluate their rosters as they prepare for the second Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC 2023). Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, revealed that the team might undergo changes to its lineup following its 7th-8th place finish at the Major. Korb3n mentioned in a conclusory post about the Lima Major as Spirit prepared to depart that there would be roster changes and that he was not joking about it. Although Spirit had a strong group stage showing at the Major, it struggled in the playoffs and was eliminated in the lower bracket by Talon Esports.

Team Spirit Dota 2 manager hints at upcoming roster changes

In a detailed post on Telegram, Korb3n explained the team's trip to the Lima Major and the overall perspective of the stay, games, and more, but one surprise lurked towards the end which mentioned that Spirit's roster would change.

“Oh, by the way, we will have changes in the lineup and I'm not even kidding,” he wrote.

At the Major, Spirit finished second in Group A with eleven victories and five defeats. Spirit had drawn or won the remaining seven series in the Bo2 group stage, with the exception of the series against the eventual winners Gaimin Gladiators. As a result, the squad was expected to be one of the most formidable opponents in the playoffs.

A 2-1 scoreline rendered Spirit the losers of the upper bracket in the first round against Shopify Rebellion. In a classical matchup against PSG.LGD, as it fell down to the lower bracket, Spirit won by the same scoreline, but its loss to Talon Esports in the next round was unexpected.

In his account of the stay at the Major, Korb3n also shared that it was comfortable in terms of the food and logistics, even though there were numerous technical problems.

Since there is little preparation time for the first Major of the season, tournament organizers aren't interested in hosting it, and the experienced ones, therefore, do not bid for it. Thus, he thanked 4D Esports for hosting the tournament.

Spirit will next be seen competing in the DPC 2023 Tour 2 around the end of March. The team’s current roster consists of the following players:

  1. Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk

  2. Denis "Larl" Sigitov

  3. Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov

  4. Miroslaw "Mira" Kolpakov

  5. Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov

It remains to be seen if Spirit will make a single roster change or if many changes are on the way that will surprise many fans.
