Team Spirit managed to go on an impressive 21-series win streak after securing a victory over nouns at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai.
On 5th February, Team Spirit is taking on Xtreme Gaming at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai tournament and will look to make it a 22-series win.

Following its win at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai Day 1 over nouns, Team Spirit has successfully surpassed the 20-series win streak. This two-time TI (The International) winning team seems to be on an unstoppable run, having won the last three tournaments it participated in including Riyadh Masters 2023, DreamLeague Season 21, and The International 2023. Notably, Team Spirit also remains undefeated in the last 32 series. With such a feat under its belt, Team Spirit is etching its name in the annals of Dota 2 as arguably one of the greatest teams of all time.

Unstoppable Team Spirit Sets New Record

Russian organization Team Spirit is on an impressive run in its Dota 2 history, having gone undefeated in the last 32 series and winning the last 21 series in a row. The team displayed a feat of strength matched by very few teams. Team Spirit’s last recorded series loss was at the Riyadh Masters 2023 Group Stage against PSG.Quest in a best-of-two series on 22nd July 2023. Since then, Spirit has had 3 draws and 28 impressive series wins.

However, Team Spirit has not been able to etch its name into the records for the longest win streak without a single loss. As of now, former Chinese Dota 2 team Newbee holds the record for the longest win streak without a single loss at a staggering 28 games. It eventually lost to OG in a best-of-three series at the EPICENTER 2016 on 12th May 2016.

Speaking of longest win streaks, Team Secret also has the most number of game win-streaks in Dota 2 history, surpassing the 20-game win-streak achievement over four times. Team Secret’s last win streak of 21 games was ended by Team Unique at the ESL One Birmingham 2020: Europe & CIS - Group Stage.

Now, on to the second day of the BetBoom Dacha 2024, Team Spirit is gearing up to face Chinese Dota 2 team Xtreme Gaming. This much-anticipated game between Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming will be a spectacle to watch as Team Spirit’s Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk has time and again expressed his appreciation and idolization of Xtreme Gaming’s Wang "Ame" Chunyu.

It remains to be seen whether Xtreme Gaming will be successful in ending Team Spirit’s 21 series win-streak later today on 5th February or if Team Spirit will trample over Xtreme Gaming and continue its ruthless win-streak.
