Team Secret took down Invictus Gaming 2-0 at The International 10 (TI10), putting forth one of the most remarkable performances of the event thus far. Despite expectations of a tight series, Team Secret excelled in almost all areas of the game and particularly in its drafts. While the first game saw the team play as a unit, deliver constant blows, and end quickly, the second game saw the team display its top-notch teamfight skills to come out on top. With this series win, Team Secret has earned its first top three finish at TI by securing a spot in the upper bracket final. Invictus Gaming, meanwhile, drops to the lower bracket of TI10’s Main Event

Team Secret vs Invictus Gaming: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap:

During game 1, Team Secret demonstrated incredible teamwork. As early as 10 minutes into the match, they had rotated all five players to find kills, and this overpowered Invictus Gaming. After this, Team Secret focused its attention on the objectives and won the game in just 30 minutes.

In game 2, as it turned out, Invictus Gaming handled the game better. The net worth was even for the first 20 minutes, but as soon as the teamfights began, Team Secret started to mound a lead. Invictus Gaming struck back with some critical kills, but Team Secret was superb overall resulting in a 45-minute victory.

Highlights:

Team Secret seemed to have entered the competition well prepared and was able to execute its strategies successfully to eliminate its opponents. The team also showed how potent Templar Assassin still is as a hero. The team of Clement "Puppey" Ivanov will be thrilled with their performance as they have now secured $3,601,600 USD in prize money. The winner of PSG.LGD vs Virtus.pro will be their next opponent in the upper bracket final as Team Secret will look to carry the momentum forward.

Invictus Gaming did not play poorly in the series, they were simply outclassed on the day. While they played some of their comfort heroes throughout the two games, Team Secret was prepared to handle any challenge they threw at them. Having dropped to the lower bracket, Invictus Gaming now faces the winner of T1 vs Vici Gaming.
