On 9th November, Team Secret moved Armel to the inactive roster after less than a year of picking him up.
On the same day, it made a surprising announcement that excited fans. It announced that MidOne and BOOM are back in Team Secret.

Prominent esports organization Team Secret made major roster changes on 9th November. It officially announced that it is moving Armel "Armel" Tabios to its inactive roster and also expressed its appreciation for his contributions.

The Twitter post read, "We're gonna miss his comms in our games. Starting today, Armel will be placed on our inactive squad until we can find a fitting home for him. See you on the other side 'Mel!"

Within a few minutes of the Armel announcement, Team Secret also shared the happy news of running it back with two of its old guards Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng and Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan.

Armel’s Team Secret Journey

Armel joined Team Secret alongside Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy on 11th March earlier this year and experienced a series of highs and lows during his time with the team.

Notably, after Armel’s joining, Team Secret secured victory at the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division II. However, its performance took a downturn, leading to an 8th-place finish at DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division I, an 11th-12th place at DreamLeague Season 20, and a 9th-12th place at Riyadh Masters 2023.

The most significant setback was Team Secret's failure to qualify for The International 2023 through the Western Europe Qualifiers. This marked the first time in history that team captain Clement "Puppey" Ivanov missed the prestigious event. The team's aspirations were crushed when it was eliminated by PSG Quest in a closely contested series that ended with a score of 1-2.

Despite these challenging times, Team Secret showed signs of a resurgence at the BetBoom Dacha 2023 tournament, where it managed to secure a respectable 3rd-place finish. This strong performance offers hope for the team's future endeavors

MidOne & BOOM Are Back on Team Secret

Team Secret surprised its fans with the announcement of two members who are not strangers to the Team Secret brand. The organization tweeted, “Guess who's back? Back again... and again. MidOne & BOOM join the roster, let's run it another time.

MidOne spent more than three years with the team from 2016 to 2019. During this time, the team won two Majors — MDL Disneyland Paris Major 2019 and The Chongqing Major in 2019 — as a team.

Team Secret parted ways with BOOM earlier this year. But it seems like the team decided to give the young player another chance. The organization enthusiastically welcomed these two players back into its ranks as it gears up for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Currently, the Team Secret roster for 2024 looks like this:

  1. Remco "Crystallis" Arets

  2. Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng

  3. Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan

  4. Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy

  5. Clement "Puppey" Ivanov

Additionally, Team Secret noted that coach Lee "Heen" Seung Gon will be taking a break and announced Tue "ah fu" Soon Chuan as its head coach.
