Team Bald Reborn, the team featuring popular Dota 2 streamer Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski, is gearing up for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) Tour 3 after a lackluster performance in Tour 1. Having finished in the bottom 2 of Tour 1 and subsequently losing its Division II slot, the team did not participate in Tour 2 but is making roster changes for its return in Tour 3 closed qualifiers. According to the official Dota 2 roster registration website, Ovidijus "ZipZaper" Vaicikauskas, Aliwi "w33" Omar, and Jonathan "Bengan" Hansson have departed the team, making way for Steve "Xcalibur" Ye, Moiez "symetricaL" Lin, and a newcomer named Alireza "Crash" M. Although no official announcements have been made, the team is optimistic that these roster adjustments will give it a fresh opportunity to secure a spot in Division II of Tour 3.
Roster Changes and New Opportunities
The potential roster changes for Team Bald Reborn would see the return of Xcalibur who previously played for the team but was replaced by w33 during DPC WEU Tour 1. Another addition is symetricaL, a newcomer to Team Bald Reborn but with previous professional experience through his time with Alliance. The final addition, Crash, appears to be a fresh face in the professional Dota 2 scene, and while fans may have uncertainties about his performance, this presents an excellent opportunity for the player to showcase his skills and potential. It's important to note that these changes have not yet been officially confirmed, leaving fans eager to learn more about the revamped roster.
Gorgc's Past Offer and Disappointing Outcome
Gorgc, the popular Dota 2 streamer and founder of Team Bald Reborn, revealed an intriguing aspect of the team's journey. He mentioned offering to sell the Division II slot to Old G in the past. However, Old G declined the offer, and with the addition of two-time TI runner-up w33ha, the team had high hopes for success. Unfortunately, the team's performance fell short, going winless with a 0-7 record and subsequently being removed from Division II of the DPC.
“I offered to sell them my slot as well last time before we went 0-7. I should have sold that slot. I offered Old G to buy it from me but they did not want to buy it. Nobody wanted to…I think there was one team that kind of wanted to buy our slot but they ended up not buying it. We got w33 haa and I was like - we are surely going to win.” Gorgc said.
With renewed aspirations and a fresh lineup, Team Bald Reborn aims to bounce back from its disappointing performance in DPC WEU Tour 1. The return of Xcalibur, the addition of symetricaL, and the introduction of Crash bring new dynamics and possibilities to the team. As fans eagerly await official confirmation of these changes, Team Bald Reborn strives to seize the opportunity in DPC WEU Tour 3, seeking redemption and a chance to secure a spot in Division II.
