Talon Qualifies for Division 2 of the SEA Winter Tour of DPC 2021-22
Talon, the team made up of well-known Dota 2 players such as Tal "Fly" Aizik and Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, has secured a spot in Division 2 of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Winter Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22. Talon won the slot by finishing first in the second open qualifier of the league, beating the Mongolian team of Kobolds by a score of 2-0 in the grand final. With the exception of the first game of the final, where Kobolds showed some resistance, Talon's performance was flawless throughout the open qualifier.

Although it lost in the first open qualifier, Talon, a team composed of some of the finest players in SEA and a seasoned veteran in captain Fly, went into the second open qualifier as the favorite.
The team faced off against MY, one of the stronger opponents in the BO1 round of 32. The carry Arc Warden helped MY prolong the game, but it never looked settled, losing to Talon 45 minutes into the match. Two more BO1 matches followed, with Talon securely beating KOD Vulture and TWN-Esports. Next, Fly and his teammates defeated InterActive Philippines 2-0 through two straightforward wins in the semifinals.
In the final series of the qualifier, Kobolds, the runner-up from the first open qualifier, took on Talon for a Division 2 spot. In the first game, Kobolds was slightly ahead for the first 25 or 30 minutes, but a great teamfight from its opponents turned the tide. Talon went on to carry this momentum into the second game, running over the enemies to secure the 2-0 win and a Division 2 spot.
Midlaner Rafli Fathur "Mikoto" Rahman was a standout player for Talon throughout the entire qualifier. Both his laning performance and mid-game map maneuvers were excellent.
Having qualified for Division 2, Talon can breathe a sigh of relief. Its players had not looked as solid as a unit in the first qualifier, losing to Ragdoll, which comprises popular SEA players such as Cheng "vtFαded" Jia Hao and Lai "AhJit" Jay Son, in the semifinals.
