Talon Esports signed Thai Dota 2 player Worawit "Q" Mekchai.
Q, who used to play as Motivate.Trust Gaming's position four player, will now be occupying the position five role for Talon Esports. He replaces Tal "Fly" Aizik, who left Talon Esports on 19th Jan 2022.
Talon Esports' fifth and final member - the new carry player - will be revealed on 26th Feb.

A few days before the roster lock date of the second Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22, Talon Esports has announced that it has signed Thai Dota 2 player Worawit "Q" Mekchai as its new position five player. This change sees Q leaving Motivate.Trust Gaming after having been a cornerstone of the team for more than two years. On Talon Esports, Q takes the place of Tal "Fly" Aizik, who left the roster on 19th Jan 2022. Talon Esports also announced that the fifth and final player for Tour 2, the team's new carry, will be announced on 26th Feb.

“Starting off our roster reveal, we welcome Q to the Talon family! The former @Motivate_Trust hard support is our newest pos 5,” Talon Esports tweeted.

Talon Esports’ Dota 2 roster now consists of the following four players.

  1. TBD

  2. Rafli "Mikoto" Fathur Rahman

  3. Damien "kpii" Chok

  4. Brizio "Hyde" Adi Putra Budiana

  5. Worawit "Q" Mekchai

After a disappointing Tour 1 of the DPC 2021-22, Talon Esports is overhauling its roster. Although the organization entered the Dota 2 competitive scene with some of the best players in the region, the results fell far short of expectations. After finishing fifth in Division 2, carry player Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte Santos and position five/captain Fly both left the team. While Gabbi now plays for T1, Fly has seemingly moved back to North America and was recently spotted coaching TSM’s new Dota 2 lineup.

Q, who was with Motivate.Trust Gaming since December 2019 and had been playing as the soft support in recent times, will now take Fly's hard support role on Talon Esports. Motivate.Trust Gaming had seen its players, Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee and Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong get poached during this period by bigger teams, but Q continued to be an important part of the team. Motivate.Trust Gaming also had a challenging Tour 1 of the DPC 2021-22, as the team was relegated to Division 2 after an unfortunate tiebreaker loss.

As Talon Esports revealed, its fifth player will be announced on 26th Feb. Some of the popular carry players in the region, but not currently on active rosters are - Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, and Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo.

In addition, Motivate.Trust Gaming will also need two new players to complete its Dota 2 roster for Tour 2. At the moment, it does not have a safelaner or a position four player. For the ongoing BTS Pro Series S10, 23savage is competing as the team’s carry player while Peerapat "Tigger" Butta is playing in the position four role.

The roster lock date for Tour 2 is 27th Feb while the Tour kicks off on 14th March.
