Alliance has been eliminated from the ESL One Fall 2021: Bootcamp Edition after T1 outplayed them in the lower bracket playoffs. As both teams had their moments of brilliance, the series lasted three games. While Alliance smashed T1 in the first game, the latter fought back in the next two games with a fine display of teamfight gameplay to win 2-1. The Southeast Asian team appeared to be massively behind in the third game particularly, but it outwitted its opponents, registering a remarkable comeback to continue its run in the ESL One Fall 2021.

T1 vs Alliance: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In Game 1, Alliance performed flawlessly, understanding and executing their draft to the fullest extent. In the laning stage, no notable moves were made by any teams. Alliance was able to roll over their opponents after winning one teamfight at the 19 minute mark. With only four kills against 24 for their opponents, T1 lost the game in 30 minutes.

Game 2 was much more competitive, with both teams showing great skills. T1 took the lead early on with their tanky safelaner in Medusa, while Alliance was lacking damage. However, the European squad made a comeback by demonstrating impeccable teamfight skills and taking back the networth lead that T1 had. Then, T1 once again was the better team in teamfights as they ultimately won in 45 minutes.

In Game 3, Alliance took a commanding lead with their smart map maneuvers in the first half. T1 tried to fight them but to no avail, so they resorted to split push to keep Alliance engaged. It was the Alliance's inability to go high ground, which helped T1 prolong the game to the point where they became stronger and used their spells more effectively, leading to a 47-minute victory.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

This series between two of the most formidable teams in their respective regions was simply fascinating to watch. Despite the impressive play of both teams, T1 appeared to perform better in clutch situations. In the final game specifically, their late game spellcasting and decision making were just astounding.

Alliance finishes 7th-8th in the ESL One Fall 2021 tournament, taking home $10,000 USD. Meanwhile, T1 keeps the dream alive as it advances to the next round of the lower bracket, where it will play beastcoast on 28th August, 2021.
