Quincy Crew exits the tournament in the 5-6th place taking home a sum of $15,000 USD
OG vs Quincy Crew: Match Recap and Highlights
Recap
Game 1 saw OG puling out an unusual hero combo as they drafted a position four Dragon Knight for Saksa. It seemed to work as it helped zone out the enemies in the laning stage. Even though Quincy Crew consistently found kills, OG always had the upper hand with SumaiL's last pick Naga Siren. OG's heroes proved too tanky to kill in the later stages, allowing the team to win in 42 minutes.
Game 2 was a comprehensive performance by OG, as they exhibited their “Run at you” draft style. Quincy Crew had a single target-oriented lineup, which OG heavily countered in teamfights. Saksa and N0tail did an excellent job supporting the team as they won in 33 minutes.
Highlights
Here are some highlights of the series.
OG looked quite clinical in its performances, never making a mistake and always managing to stay ahead in the games. Having consistently delivered amazing performances, Saksa has so far been their MVP in the ESL One Summer 2021. It will be interesting to see how they fare against Alliance which has emerged as the most solid EU team in the last couple of months. The series is scheduled for 2:00 AM SGT on June 20, 2021.
While Quincy Crew has looked impressive, they have not delivered in crucial moments in both the AniMajor and ESL One Summer 2021. Their map movements and teamfight execution need refining if they’re to compete against the top teams in the world at the International 10. Considering the fact that they don’t need to compete in the NA qualifiers of TI10, they will have ample time to prepare and fine-tune their plays for the most prominent esports tournament in Dota 2, The International 10.
