Team Aster's midlaner Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan will stand in for Team Secret at BetBoom Dacha. The player will replace Armel "Armel" Tabios, who is returning home to the Philippines to spend time with his family. “The Emperor is back. SumaiL will be standing-in for us at the BetBoom Dacha LAN. We would like to thank both Nigma Galaxy and Team Aster for making it possible,” Secret announced on Twitter.

The following players will be on Team Secret's roster at BetBoom Dacha:

  1. Remco "Crystallis" Arets

  2. Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan

  3. Saieful "Fbz" Ilham

  4. Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy

  5. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov

Secret sees a slight roster change after a tough loss at TI12's Western Europe (WEU) qualifier in which it finished 4th and failed to qualify. Puppey suffered a particularly hard defeat, as he lost his title of being the only all-time TI attendee, having been a part of all 11 before this 12th edition.

SumaiL, a player who was a part of the team for four months last year, has joined the team for a temporary period. After a lack of success, Secret parted ways with SumaiL, who went on to join Nigma Galaxy. The player will also enter this tournament after an underwhelming performance at TI12's China qualifier with Team Aster despite being one of the favorites.

The BetBoom Dacha event was not supposed to include Secret but it will be interesting to see if the players can find something worthwhile to celebrate before the season comes to an end. Previously, Team Spirit also withdrew from the event due to being unable to attend in full to make space for TSM. Aster withdrew due to internal issues to make way for Evil Geniuses.

Team Secret has been assigned to Group A, along with Evil Geniuses, BetBoom Team, and TSM. The tournament begins on 10th Sept and continues with the grand final on 16th Sept.
