In a recent Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski Twitch livestream, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan said that Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi and Invoker make for the best player-hero combination of all time.
SumaiL said that Miracle-'s Invoker was so good that it was unbeatable for almost two years straight.
SumaiL also joked that if he removed himself from the list, Miracle-'s peak was greater than any other Dota 2 player's peak.

Dota 2 players, particularly those playing the core role, have certain heroes they are tremendously good at, referred to as "signature heroes," on which they tend to excel more than others. In a recent livestream, Team Secret's safelaner, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, shared his opinion with Dota 2 streamer Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski that Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi and Invoker make for the best player-hero combination of all time. SumaiL claimed that during the period when Miracle- was at the top of his game, no one could beat his Invoker for about two years. SumaiL and Gorgc then also discussed the player whose peak in competitive Dota 2 was the highest, in comparison to the peak of other players.

SumaiL and Gorgc talk about Miracle- and RAMZES666’s peak

In the Twitch livestream on 15th May 2022, Gorgc talked about Miracle-'s prowess on his signature hero Invoker at the time he was playing his best, that is before SumaiL followed up by saying, “his (Miracle’s) Invoker player- hero combo was by far the best. His Invoker was unbeatable actually for two years straight.”

These two Dota 2 personalities expressed this opinion, in the context of their discussion, of the player whose peak was highest in comparison to other Dota 2 players' peaks.

At first, SumaiL said that CIS Rejects' safelaner Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev was the best carry player of all time. “I think Ramzes was like - the best all time carry player,” he said during the livestream. When Gorgc expressed surprise at this statement, SumaiL replied, “In my opinion, yes. Ramzes’s peak is better than any other’s. That guy was too good.”

Gorgc then went on to give his opinion on the "highest carry peak," saying that it was not Miracle-'s, following a user’s suggestion in the Twitch chat, because he felt Miracle- was at his best playing midlane and not safelane. “Highest carry peak? I think I had a different opinion on that one. Miracle? You can’t say Miracle because Miracle’s peak was in mid, I am sure. It wasn’t on carry ever,” he said.

Gorgc said that if it came to the highest peak for any player, whether they played carry or any other position, he would keep Miracle- at the top of the list. He then highlighted the peak of SumaiL as well. “Miracle’s peak was also - is usually what I say is the highest Dota peak for a player. Back then, he was just better than everybody. You too actually. You had one of those insane peaks.”

In response, SumaiL stated that Miracle- was a hybrid player during his peak since he was able to play both in the midlane and in the safelane. From a competitor's perspective, SumaiL hilariously added that he would not put Miracle- above himself when it came to peak performances. Nonetheless, if he excluded himself from the list, he agreed that Miracle's peak is superior to any other Dota 2 player's peak.

“No, it was…he (Miracle) was hybrid, he was both (a safelaner and a midlaner). As a competitor, I won’t say his (peak) was the best. I am just not going to default put myself on second. But if I were to exclude myself, then yes, I would agree.”

Although Miracle- and SumaiL are still considered to be among the best Dota 2 players in the world, their peak performances are attributed to different points in their careers. Miracle-'s best game is considered to have been when he made a huge impression in the Dota 2 competitive scene in 2017 after winning The International 7 (TI7) with Team Liquid, whereas for SumaiL, he took the competitive scene by storm when he won TI5 with Evil Geniuses.

In the current season, neither of these players are enjoying the best results with their respective teams. Miracle- and his team Nigma Galaxy were relegated to Division 2 during Tour 2 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22, while SumaiL and Team Secret failed to qualify for the ongoing ESL One Stockholm Major 2022.
