Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, the Canadian Dota 2 veteran, was once again embroiled in controversy recently. In the BTS Pro Series S8: Americas, his team, 4 Zoomers, lost the opening game in the series against Furia Jovem, a Brazilian squad. At the very end of this game, Furia Jovem's safelaner, Leonardo "Mandy" Viana, paused it. Then, he called out EternaLEnVy for having seemingly called him an "animal" in the past. Following the series, EternaLEnVy took to Twitter to say that he couldn't remember a time when he had called someone an “animal,” and that he had not typed anything to Mandy in a year.

EternaLEnVy replies to the “animal” comment by South American player, Mandy

In the first game of the series, between 4 Zoomers and Furia Jovem, the networth was evenly balanced at the 30-minute mark, but Furia Jovem's cores were beginning to pull ahead.

After a couple of teamfight victories by the South American (SA) squad, their lead skyrocketed, and at 44 minutes, it stood at about 27k. A pause ensued from Mandy after EternalEnvy typed 'GG' in all chat, realizing the game had been lost. Mandy’s next words, which he typed one after the other, during the pause time were:

“May I ask, who’s the animal, Mr. Envy? Say it out loud. 0 ms players.”

In the hours following the series, EternaLEnVy clarified via a tweet that he had not "typed a single word to Mandy" in nearly a year (likely in a pub game). He also mentioned that he had only just noticed the things Mandy had written in the first game's all chat.

4 Zoomers eventually tied the BO2 series at 1-1. Furia Jovem was leading in the second game by around 15k net worth at the 35 minute mark. They appeared on track to claim a series win, but the North American side put up a great fight and won in 64 minutes.

4 Zoomers is currently ranked third on the points table of the 10-team BTS Pro Series S8: Americas event, having played a total of six series. Furia Jovem is ranked ninth, having played two series so far. Next, EternaLEnVy and his teammates will face Hokori on 15th Sept, 2021, followed by Mandy and his teammates' series against D2 Hustlers.
