Following its victory over Gaimin Gladiators in the BetBoom Universe: Episode I - Comics Zone, Tundra Esports’ captain Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun was pulled aside for a winner’s interview.
Sneyking noted that the team played very well, despite the clashing playstyles of its substitutes Topson & Nightfall.
Topson & Nightfall were playing as stand-ins for Tundra Esports, as the duo of skiter & Nine were temporarily sidelined due to illness.

Tundra Esports’ captain Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun was pulled aside for a winner’s post-match interview following its victory in the BetBoom Universe: Episode I - Comics Zone online tournament. While waiting for the upcoming Lima Major, Tundra Esports along with several other teams were invited to play in the tournament.

During the interview, the American support gave his thoughts about the team’s emergency stand-ins during the series as the core duo of Oliver "skiter" Lepko & Leon "Nine" Kirilin were forced to sit out the series due to illness.

Sneyking expressed his gratitude to Topson & Nightfall

During the winner’s post match interview, Sneyking talked about the team’s decision to recruit the duo of Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko & two-time TI (The International) winner Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen as emergency stand-ins for the series against Gaimin Gladiators.

While Topson was available as a stand-in following his stint with Old G, Nightfall along with BetBoom Team were thought by many to be preparing for the upcoming trip to Lima, Peru for the Major.

He started off by talking about the team’s chemistry with the two players, noting that they were able to adapt despite having zero experience playing with each other as a team. “I think it was very different from our usual playstyle, but we had a good opportunity to play with Nightfall and Topson. Two very good players and we were able to adjust our playstyle to their heroes and their playstyle very quickly.”

He then went on to talk about the differences between playing with Nightfall & Topson as opposed to their main core duo of skiter & Nine. He noted that Nightfall was a very vocal player, while Topson is the exact opposite.

“Mostly because Nightfall is a very vocal player so it’s very easy to play with someone who’s talking about what they want and what they need to succeed. And then there’s Topson, who is the opposite of Nightfall. He just kind of plays the game quietly and then if he sees an opportunity to make a difference or something, he’ll say something. So I think it ended up having very good synergy. We just got lucky I guess.”

Following the victory, Tundra Esports are in the Grand Finals of the BetBoom Universe: Episode I - Comics Zone. While many wanted to see more of Nightfall and Topson on Tundra, it is highly unlikely that the duo will stand-in again as skiter & Nine are expected to be fully recovered for tomorrow's match.
