Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit Arcanas Could be the Next Arcana Releases

Despite the conclusion of ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and the release of Patch 7.35 happening just last week, the Dota 2 community is eagerly anticipating the release of the next big update.

Rumors about the upcoming release of two new Arcanas for Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage are making rounds in the Dota 2 community. These speculations stem from DOTA_DM, a group known for their data mining in Dota 2. They have previously accurately predicted changes in the game, including the shift to the new Glicko ranking system.

Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage Arcanas

On December 16, 2023, DOTA_DM shared data mined codes that it found in Dota 2's files hinting at the development of Arcanas for Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage.

It should be noted that both Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit were featured prominently in the video teaser for the release of the New Frontiers Update.

Considering that Valve loves to leave easter eggs for their next releases and updates, there is a real chance that this has been in the works for months

Valve had stated that it was working on some big updates as well as “the next set of Arcanas” in an update released during September 2023. This set could potentially be the Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage arcanas and “everything else we're working on” could be a PVE event accompanying these cosmetics. In any case, fans are waiting for a chance to open up their wallets for Valve.

While we might have to wait some time before seeing these sets, an intriguing theory suggests that the Arcanas for Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage could be released on February 14, Valentine's Day. This date aligns with the tragic romantic story shared by the two heroes, adding a thematic layer to the release.

Additionally, a Valentine's Day release would be a plausible timeline for Valve, considering that Patch 7.35 was only launched last week. If this speculation turns out to be true, it would not only be thematically fitting but also a timely update from Valve.
