Shopify Rebellion's offlaner Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek has provided an update on the return of their midlaner Abed "Abed" Yusop, who was unable to compete in the DreamLeague Season 19 group stages due to visa issues.
According to Saberlight, Abed should be back sometime between April 16-17, which would be a major boost for the team as they head into the second group stages of the tournament.
Despite Abed's absence, Shopify Rebellion managed to perform well with standin Mikey and secured their spot in the next phase of the tournament.

North American (NA) powerhouse Shopify Rebellion which finished 2nd in Dota Pro Circuit NA 2023 Tour 2: Division I has performed well at Dreamleague Season 19 so far and has managed to finish in the Top 2 of their group, securing a slot for the second group stages of the tournament. The team has been playing with standin Kasra "Mikey" Mesbah as their mid-laner Abed "Abed" Yusop could not make it in time due to visa issues. However, Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek recently revealed on his livestream that Abed would be joining the roster very soon for their upcoming matches at Dreamleague Season 19.

Abed to re-join Shopify Rebellion soon

In a recent livestream, SabeRLight- revealed that Abed would be coming back to the team soon to play at Dreamleague Season 19, with the date being as soon as the 16th or 17th of April. This means that Abed will rejoin the team about halfway through their run in the second group stages. “What's wrong with them? They just put us in the morning every single day. I have to wake up every single day. Okay well, Abed should be coming somewhere here, April 16-17,” he said.

Abed is considered to be an extremely skilled mechanical player in Dota 2, often being compared to the likes of Syed "SumaiL" Hassan and Michał "Nisha" Jankowski in the midlane. While his brief absence from the team disappointed the fans, the team has still managed to qualify for the next group stages with their standin, Mikey. With Abed’s return, fans will be eagerly anticipating a boost to Shopify’s performances.

The Dreamleague Season 19 Group Stage 2 begins on the 14th of April and will go on till the 20th of April, featuring the Top 8 teams from Group Stage 1, which will be cut down to the Top 4 teams at the end of these group stages. Shopify Rebellion’s next game will be against OG, another powerhouse from Western Europe (WEU) that has recently qualified for the Berlin Major 2023 by winning tiebreakers in their region’s DPC Tour. With SabeRLight-’s comments, Abed may join the team in time to play against Team Liquid, considered to be the best team in the world at the moment.
