ESL's DreamLeague Season 19 has been a pleasant surprise for the Dota 2 community that now gets to watch the best teams from around the world compete against one another outside of Majors. 16 teams from six regions have been flown to Europe where they will compete online only from 9th to 23rd April in the DreamLeague Season 19. During the tournament, the teams will compete in three stages with two group stages and one playoff. In the end, one team will emerge as the winner and receive the lion's share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool as well as a coveted invitation to the $15 Million Riyadh Masters 2022 in July 2023.

Group Stage 1 (9th-12th April)

  • Single round robin group stage

  • Two groups of eight teams each

  • All series are Bo2s

  • The top four teams from each group qualify for group stage 2

  • The bottom four teams from each group are eliminated

Group Stage 2 (14th-20th April)

  • Single round robin group stage

  • One group of eight teams

  • All series are Bo3s

  • The top two teams move to the upper bracket of the playoffs

  • The third and fourth place teams move to the lower bracket of the playoffs

  • The bottom four teams are eliminated

Playoffs (22nd-23rd April)

  • Double elimination playoffs bracket

  • All series are Bo3s, except for the grand final

  • Bo5 grand final


Prize pool distribution

The $1,000,000 will be distributed as follows among the 16 teams based on final placements. As well as winning the biggest share of the prize money, the winner of the DreamLeague S19 will earn an invitation to the Riyadh Masters 2023.

Where to watch

Since four series will be running simultaneously in group stage 1, DreamLeague S19 will be broadcast on four channels simultaneously.

DreamLeague S19 is part of the ESL Pro Tour which ESL announced in March 2023. DreamLeague S19, S20, and Riyadh Masters 2023 are part of the Pro Tour's first season. The Pro Tour will be held in April, June, and July alongside Valve's DPC ecosystem to promote and grow the Dota 2 scene, as stated by ESL.
