In a post game interview with Sheever, SabeRLight- explained how missing two major tournaments before DreamLeague helped Shopify perform better.
Shopify Rebellion qualified to the second phase of the group stages topping the group table

With the DreamLeague S22 group stage 1 coming to a close, the list of the qualified teams is almost finalized. A big shocker in this tournament was that Team Liquid was one of the first teams to be eliminated. However, Shopify Rebellion which was placed in group B finished the group stage with a strong result, even beating Team Spirit.

Following a series against Xtreme Gaming, Shopify Rebellion’s Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek sat down for an interview with Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden. SabeRLight- explained how missing BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai helped Shopify perform outstandingly at the ongoing tournament.

“Us not playing Dacha means we can put our 100% in this one,” says SabeRLight-

It’s a bit annoying but at the same time, we had a lot of space and time to grow and to practice. And not going to Dacha [BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai]]… That one is a bit unfortunate but at least we had some time to chill out between all the quals and all the Dota. As you can see, there are so many tournaments so you have to pick and choose which ones you play,” said SabeRLight- of Shopify Rebellion, talking about the positive aspects of Shopify Rebellion not qualifying for ESL One Kuala Lumpur and BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai.

He further clarified, “For example, speaking of Liquid, they got top two at the last one, and they’re playing the DreamLeague from their homes, so obviously they will have an impact on how they play and you can’t play 100% in every single tournament so. Us not playing Dacha means that we can put our 100% in this one and our next one.”

Shopify Rebellion has often found itself at the center of ridicule by the Dota 2 community for sticking with Kanishka "BuLba" Sosale as a coach for such a long time, but Shopify’s performance at the ongoing DreamLeague Season 22 is nothing short of spectacular. The team seems to have reformed into a stronger team and has found the team synergy it was longing.

It finished group stage 1 with a score of 2 series wins and 5 series draws. Shopify Rebellion’s performance, despite being placed in the arguably harder group, is commendable. After securing its spot in group stage 2, Shopify is now one step closer to winning its first DreamLeague tournament.
