Former L1ga Team's support RodjER shed some light on why the team disbanded.
Following its disastrous performance at the DreamLeague Season 22 closed qualifier, L1ga team disbanded its roster and is aiming to rebuild from scratch.

During a recent Twitch stream, former L1ga Team’s support player Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian explained why the L1ga Team disbanded. L1ga Team disbanded its Dota 2 roster in January, less than a month after its inception. During this time, the team tried its hand in various qualifiers but found no success in any. The team featured some big names of the CIS region including Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, among others.

We Just Didn’t Click,” Says RodjER

On 1st February, the former L1ga Team’s support, RodjER revealed the reason behind the disbandment of the newly formed team. “It's not a secret. We just didn't click. Well, we played poorly. In short, I thought that in this lineup, we wouldn't be able to develop as a team, so I left,” said RodjER during one of his recent Twitch streams

The former roster of the team comprised of:

  • Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev

  • Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov

  • Ilyas "kasane" Gainullin

  • Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi

  • Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian

It featured former 9Pandas players Ramzes and Kiyotaka and also Ilyas "kasane" Gainullin and Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi from Tundra Esports and lastly, RodjER played for Nemiga Gaming. The team’s underperformance at the DreamLeague Season 22 EEU [Eastern Europe] closed qualifier was seemingly the last straw for the players. On 23rd January, kiyotaka left L1ga team after a series of misfortunes with the team and returned to 9Pandas. While no other announcements of the departure of other players are official, RodjER revealed that most of the players had left the team.

At the time of writing only Ramzes remains on the active roster and L1ga Team expressed its intentions to rebuild the roster from scratch. The new roster will have Ramzes as its captain, the organization also recently signed 9Panda’s former coach Aleksandr "Nofear" Churochkin as the new coach for the upcoming L1ga Team roster.

During its inception, the roster’s lineup showed much promise, featuring some of the most notable players from the CIS region, but fell short. As RodjER implied, the team performed poorly due to a lack of synergy. The team, however, played well at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai EEU [Eastern Europe] qualifier, coming in second. However, in the DreamLeague Season 22 closed qualifier, the L1ga team’s performance was subpar and it exited the qualifier without winning a single series.

As the earlier statement of L1ga Team said, “There is no doubt that L1GA TEAM will be able to win a worthy place in the hall of fame of esport and win many significant victories in the new gaming season.” The team is rebuilding its roster to fulfill its dream of being in the hall of fame of esports.
