After the dismal Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 1: Division I season, Team Secret may undergo its first lineup change.
Offlaner Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynokw stated that he was a free agent in a Twitch chat and then added in Russian that the community first learned about him leaving there.
There has been no official announcement of the roster change by Secret or Resolut1on so far.

It was an adverse season for Team Secret in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 1: Division I as it suffered relegation to Division II. The team had a total of five 2-0 losses during the season as it barely rose to the occasion against the best teams in the world. Therefore, Secret's roster has been heavily discussed in recent weeks, and it appears the first of possibly many changes is imminent. In a comment on a Twitch livestream, offlaner Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynokw revealed that he was a free agent and then added in Russian that the community caught wind of his departure in the Twitch chat first.

Resolut1on might be leaving Team Secret's Dota 2 squad

As seen in a screenshot posted by Reddit user (u/killahbeast), Resolut1on mentioned on Twitch that he is now a free agent, meaning he is out of Secret and looking for a new team.

While the screenshot has been circulating widely, there has been no official announcement of the roster change by Secret or Resolut1on so far. But if the offlaner leaves, Team Secret's Dota 2 roster will be down to four players.

  1. Remco "Crystallis" Arets

  2. Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan

  3. TBD

  4. Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov

  5. Clement "Puppey" Ivanov

Resolut1on had joined Secret in August 2022 after a brief stand-in stint that had given the captain Clement "Puppey" Ivanov a lot of confidence since the team's performance had improved significantly. The squad had struggled to achieve top results up until that moment, but finished third-fourth at the Riyadh Masters 2022 with a series victory over PSG.LGD being a highlight.

Furthermore, since he and Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov wanted to play together for a long time, he was able to establish great synergy right from the start with Zayac in the offlane.

Secret benefited significantly from this roster change, and it even went on to place second at The International 11 (TI11). However, the departure of mainstay Michał "Nisha" Jankowski after TI11 had a consequential impact on the club, resulting in relegation to Division II.

If Resolut1on goes, it will be interesting to see if Zayac follows, since the two complement each other well and like playing together.

Secret still has a lot of time to consider all options and finalize the roster for next season, when it hopes to rebound. On the other hand, it remains to be known where Resolut1on will wind up if he leaves, as well as if he will continue playing after previously taking a hiatus due to professional burnout.
