NoPing e-sports' Dota 2 roster is one member less since William 'hFn' Medeiros is no longer a part of the team. The organization announced via its social media handles that it was saying goodbye to hFn, but did not mention the reason for his departure. Additionally, the team did not announce hFn's replacement in the carry position in this parting statement. This roster change for NoPing e-sports follows a disappointing result in The International 10 (TI10) South America (SA) qualifier, where they finished fourth and failed to qualify for TI10.

hFn leaves NoPing e-sports after four months

As NoPing e-sports parted ways with hFn, they wished him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

After this change, NoPing e-sports’ Dota 2 roster is down to four players and is as follows from position one to five:

  1. TBD

  2. Gonzalo "Darkmago" Herrera

  3. Oscar David "Oscar" Chavez

  4. Farith "Matthew" Puente

  5. Jose Leonardo "Panda" Padilla Hernandez

hFn had only joined NoPing e-sports as a stand-in in the middle of the first season of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021, as the team's safelaner, Juan Carlos "Mingatte" Mamani, suffered from health problems. He became a permanent member later on as the team's performances also improved, from fourth place in the first season to first place in the second season. hFn's carry performances were particularly acclaimed, with his safe lane picks of Nature's Prophet and Templar Assassin becoming quite popular as the meta progressed.

NoPing e-sports then put up a fight at the WePlay AniMajor, but unfortunately, it was not enough as they lost back to back series to get eliminated. Despite taking games from Quincy Crew and Evil Geniuses, they were unable to play at their best over LAN. Due to a lack of DPC points, hFn and NoPing e-sports had to qualify for TI10 through regional qualifiers.

Even though they were favorites to win the SA qualifier, they faltered in a couple of series, ultimately eliminating them from the tournament.

NoPing e-sports is not participating in any tournament at this time. While TI10 is still nearly three months away, there are expected to be some Dota 2 events in the Americas. Beyond the Summit will hold one from 4th-22nd August, 2021.

It is likely that we will learn who NoPing e-sports acquires as its new carry player if the team participates in the event. It is also currently unknown what the future holds for hFn.
