Nigma Galaxy will miss the services of its star player, Amer “Miracle-” al-Barkawi, for the first few series of Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western European (WEU) 2021-22. Nigma Galaxy announced on its social media accounts that Miracle- is on a short break, and as a result, coach Roman "rmN-" Paley will be filling in for him. The organization did not specify the reason for Miracle- taking a break for the first few series of the DPC 2021-22. The International 10 (TI10)'s regional qualifier in July 2021 was the last time Nigma Galaxy played an official series.
Miracle- is on a short break, rmN- to sub in for Nigma Galaxy in the first few series of DPC 2021-22
“DPC update: @NigmaMiracle is on a short break and our coach @rmN_dota will be standing in for the first few series of the season,” Nigma Galaxy announced.
Nigma Galaxy’s roster for the first few series of the DPC WEU 2021-22 Tour 1: Division will be as follows:
Roman "rmN-" Paley
Igor "iLTW" Filatov
Ivan Borislavov "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov
Maroun "GH" Merhej
Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi
It is not yet known if rmN- will replace Miracle- in the midlane. The last time rmN- played as a stand-in was in DPC 2021’s second league series against Hellbear Smashers. Having then replaced Miracle- only, he eventually played as the midlaner.
Miracle- has been absent from the team's recent trips. While the organization has been posting images of the team getting together in recent months, the Jordanian player has not been there. In a Twitter post from 28th Sept 2021 where the entire Nigma Galaxy lineup was present in Abu Dhabi except for Miracle-, the organization wished the player a speedy recovery.
The time of Miracle-'s return is currently unknown. The following series are scheduled for the team in the DPC WEU 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1:
Vs Team Tickles (4th Dec)
Vs Tundra Esports (7th Dec)
Vs OG (15th Dec)
Vs Team Secret (19th Dec)
Vs Alliance (5th Jan)
After a long break, Nigma Galaxy will make a competitive return in the DPC 2021-22, having last competed in TI10's regional qualifier in July 2021. After losing to OG 2-1 in the lower bracket final, the team failed to qualify for TI10.
The team had announced a few days ago that it would stick with the same roster for DPC 2021-22.
