Nigma Galaxy SEA has released its entire Dota 2 roster.
Four players of the squad will become free agents as a result of the roster shuffle: Anurat "Boombui" Praianun, Vincent "AlaCrity," Hiew Teck Yoong, Galvin "mizu" Kang, and Tri "Jhocam" Kuncoro.
This move from the organization follows the team’s failure to qualify for The International 11 (TI11) and a string of underwhelming results.

Much before the roster shuffle season kicks off, Nigma Galaxy SEA announced in a Twitter post that it has released its entire Dota 2 roster. This roster shuffle will result in four members of the team becoming free agents: support player Anurat "Boombui" Praianun, midlaner Vincent "AlaCrity" Hiew Teck Yoong, offlaner Hiew Teck Yoong, Galvin "mizu" Kang, and support player Tri "Jhocam" Kuncoro. This move from the organization follows the team’s failure to qualify for The International 11 (TI11) and a string of underwhelming results. In the past few months, Nigma Galaxy SEA’s capabilities have deteriorated in Southeast Asia (SEA), which, as a whole, has grown more competitive in the same time period.

Nigma Galaxy will rebuild for the next DPC season

“Today we say farewell to our #NGXdota SEA roster,” tweeted Nigma Galaxy SEA, thanking the players for their contributions and wishing them the best in their future endeavors.

This decision comes weeks after Nigma Galaxy was eliminated from the TI11 SEA regional qualifier after losing back-to-back games. The team's competitiveness was lacking, which has been its general characteristic for months.

Nigma Galaxy SEA, however, was much more promising around the start of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 season, after defeating Fnatic to win the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA and then placing second in Division 2 to qualify for Division 1. At that time, it seemed like the team was going to be the next big thing in SEA, as the players were also exceptionally skilled. However, it has gone downhill since then.

Nigma Galaxy SEA did produce some close matches throughout the year, but consistency lacked and results were subpar, which eventually led to Muhammad "inYourdreaM" Rizky parting ways with the team on 26th July. The team, however, made a massive organizational mistake by failing to register the new player in time for the TI11 SEA qualifier, so they could only play with inYourdreaM. Now, inYourdreaM plays for Army Geniuses.

Even though inYourdreaM now has a new home, how all the Nigma Galaxy SEA players will fare in the next season remains to be seen. The wait might be a little long as TI11 is approaching and teams are only going to begin shifting players in November.

For Nigma Galaxy SEA as well, the organization will watch how SEA performs at TI11 and what all players it can acquire to round out its roster for DPC 2022-23.
