Nigma Galaxy Members Receive Pilot Training From Etihad Airways

Nigma Galaxy members had the opportunity to take some flight lessons with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Nigma Galaxy members took off, flew, and landed an Airbus A380 using a full flight simulator at the Etihad Aviation Training Academy. There were some interesting sessions, and the team's carry, Igor "iLTW" Filatov was deemed the least effective pilot, while streamer Mohammed "Attacker" Almheiri was considered the best pilot amongst the lot. In addition, the players also underwent an evacuation jump from the inflatable slide of a plane. Nigma Galaxy (then Team Nigma) had partnered with Etihad Airways in April 2021.

Nigma Galaxy learns to fly with Etihad Airways

Aside from Amer "Miracle-" al-Barkawi, all Nigma Galaxy roster players took part in these flying lessons. The group also included Attacker, who is part of the organization as an official streamer.

It was Maroun "GH" Merhej who operated the emergency door. After opening the emergency door, he followed the pilot's instructions and made room for the passengers to exit the plane.

The next challenge was the emergency slide jump, in which players had to slide down. In their jumps, the individuals were scored based on how well they adhered to the instructions. The best jumper was GH, who got a 10/10 for having good control and a forward lean. Attacker and Ivan Borislavov "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov both received a 0/10 for failing to jump as instructed. Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi and iLTW were rated 3 and 7 respectively for average jumps.

The third and most fascinating segment of the video involved players flying an Airbus A380, the largest passenger aircraft in the world, on a simulator by following the instructions of an actual pilot.

First up was GH who executed a decent takeoff, flight, and landing. Captain KuroKy gave a similar performance, although he took some time to adjust to the sensitivity of the flying stick. iLTW and Mind_ContRoL were the worst pilots amongst the bunch, but the most hilarious from a spectator's point of view. While MinD_ContRoL had a very rough landing, iLTW had a rough takeoff and seemed puzzled throughout the entire flight.

As a result of his smooth handling in all the departments, Attacker was deemed to be the best pilot. Even his instructor was impressed with his performance. As a result of his great performance, he received a souvenir from Etihad Airways.

Recently, Team Nigma and Galaxy Racer merged to form Nigma Galaxy. There are currently two Dota 2 teams in the organization, Nigma Galaxy (the KuroKy roster) and Nigma Galaxy SEA (the old Galaxy Racer roster). Both of these teams will now take part in the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22, which reportedly begins on 29th Nov 2021.
