Nigma Galaxy has announced former Gaimin Gladiators coach Daniel "ImmortalFaith" Moza as its new Dota 2 head coach.
This announcement comes a day after Nigma confirmed the departure of Roman "rmN-" Paley, who had served as a coach for Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi and his teammates for the last four years.
It is currently unknown whether Nigma will change its five-man roster.

There has been widespread speculation as to whether Nigma Galaxy's star-studded Dota 2 roster will undergo changes after its middling past two years. Though this is still up in the air, the team has decided to change its coaching staff ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2022-23. Previously a coach for Gaimin Gladiators, Daniel "ImmortalFaith" Moza has been named the new Dota 2 head coach for Nigma. This announcement comes a day after Nigma reported the departure of Roman "rmN-" Paley, who had spent the previous four years as a coach for Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi and his teammates.

ImmortalFaith replaces rmN- to become the new head coach for Nigma Galaxy

“Coaching us through the upcoming DPC season, welcome @ImmortalFaithd as the new Head Coach of #NGXdota” wrote Nigma on Twitter, welcoming the Romanian Dota 2 coach.

Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 squad now consists of the following members.

  1. Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi

  2. Syed "SumaiL" Hassan

  3. Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov

  4. Maroun "GH" Merhej

  5. Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi

  • Daniel "ImmortalFaith" Moza (head coach)

ImmortalFaith is well known for writing highly rated guides for heroes and keeping them up to date patch after patch. With respect to competitive play, he spent his first three years as a professional Dota 2 coach for Vikin.gg and Team Tickles, now known as Gaimin Gladiators.

During this time, ImmortalFaith along with Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp as the captain, and Miroslav "BOOM" Bian as the midlaner climbed the charts to establish their most successful season by qualifying for The International 11 (TI11) with Gaimin. Following TI11, however, both BOOM and ImmortalFaith parted ways with the team.

ImmortalFaith became known as the sole mastermind of Gaimin's drafts during his time there, based on what the team members noted during interviews. The drafts he chose for his team and the cheeky tri-lane strategy he implemented put Gaimin ahead right from the start of some games. Early in 2022, this helped the team tremendously, but it gradually became understood and countered by other teams as the year progressed.

Seeing what he can bring to Nigma, which already has some of the most established names, will be interesting. The squad, on the other hand, is in dire need of newer ideas and plans, as most of what KuroKy and his teammates have been thinking about over the previous two years has failed to yield fruit. They failed to qualify either for TI10 or TI11.

Also, it remains to be seen whether this is the final Dota 2 squad for Nigma in the upcoming DPC season or whether any more changes will be made. The roster lock is due in a week, so any changes, if any, should be announced soon.
