Valve revealed a trailer showing Marci as the new Dota 2 hero that will arrive this Fall season.
Marci is a popular character from the Netflix's Dota: Dragon's Blood animated series Season 1.
Valve also released a Dota: Dragon's Blood Season 2 trailer, revealing the series to arrive this January.

Valve has announced that a new hero, Marci, will be added to Dota 2 this Fall season. Marci is not foreign to the community as she is one of the most popular characters in Dota 2 x Netflix’s Dragon’s Blood series. The character was speculated to be Valve’s new hero back when the series first launched, but Dawnbreaker arrived instead. Today at TI10, Marci was finally announced as the newest hero joining the Dota 2 hero roster. Before the new Dota 2 hero news hit the crowd, we also saw the trailer of the upcoming Dragon’s Blood Season 2 which will be releasing on Netflix in January 2022.

Valve Announces Marci, a new Dota 2 hero

In a short trailer released by Valve, we witnessed Marci, in its anime form, engage in a battle. She eventually morphs into a 3D character, and the video ends with a statement that read, “Marci joins the fight this Fall.

In 2021, Fall started on September 22, 2021 (24 days ago) and ends on December 21st 2021 (in 66 days). So we can expect Marci to be added to the game within this time period.

For those who haven’t watched the Netflix’s animated Dota 2 series, Dragon’s Blood, Marci is one of the characters that became popular among the community. She is a mute character and is Mirana’s companion in the animated series. Previously, Valve hinted at launching a new hero and a lot of the community speculated Marci to join the squad. However, Dawnbreaker was released instead.

Dawnbreaker was the last Dota 2 hero added to the game.

Details about Marci’s role and abilities are yet to be revealed with Valve only vaguely showcasing her fighting neutral creeps with her fists, in the trailer.
