Tundra Esports' MinD_ContRoL shared a few thoughts on the ESL One Birmingham BootCamp on Twitter.
He also made a funny observation about fellow teammate Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen.

Tundra Esports’ offlaner Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on his new teammates. Ahead of the start of the official season, MinD_ContRoL was on Nigma Galaxy, a team he has called home since its inception. On 25th January, Tundra Esports tweeted that all its players have made it to the boot camp and are gearing up for the upcoming ESL One Birmingham Western Europe closed qualifiers. Adding more to this, MinD_ContRoL said that the boot camp has been good and made a funny observation about fellow teammate Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen.

Tundra Esports Gears Up for the ESL One Birmingham Qualifiers

Qualifier on Sunday and our boys in boot camp. Could this day get any better?!,” tweeted Tundra Esports and shared a group photo of the players. The photo features the newly revamped team roster consisting of the following pros:

  • Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko (loan from BetBoom Team)

  • Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen

  • Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov

  • Edgar "9Class" Naltakian

  • Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon

MinD_ContRoL reposted this tweet by Tundra Esports and added his thoughts. He said, “The boot camp is really good, the guys are cool, and time to play ESL One Birmingham qualifiers in 2 days.” He also made a funny, candid observation about Topson being taller than him. MinD_ContRoL said, “I didn't know Topson is taller than me wtf.

This new roster was already caught in action at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai qualifier and the DreamLeague Season 22 qualifier. While Tundra Esports successfully qualified for the DreamLeague Season 22, it lost the spot for BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai to OG in the final series of the qualifier. Nevertheless, Tundra Esports’ new roster seems to be in good shape to fight for a spot at the ESL One Birmingham 2024.

At the ESL One Birmingham 2024 closed qualifier, Tundra will go up against Team Tickles in the upper bracket quarter-finals. The winner of this series will likely face OG as OG is fighting a random stack of players called “Ninja Penguins.” Should Tundra beat Team Tickles and OG beat Ninja Penguins, these two teams will go head-to-head early on in the qualifiers, making it an interesting watch.

Unlike DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham 2024 qualifier only offers one spot from the region, the question remains whether Tundra will be able to make it this time against tough opponents like OG, Team Secret, and Entity.

Although it is just the qualifier, Tundra Esports will look forward to bringing its A-game to the table and hope to qualify to secure EPT points. Direct competitors of Tundra OG, Team Secret, and Entity currently sit in the top 10 EPT leaderboard.
