Huge Upset for Team Falcons at The Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show

The Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show is a tier 2 tournament organized by Eden Esports to celebrate 25 years of online betting site, Pinnacle Sports. The tournament features 20 teams and a prize pool of $100,000.

Team Falcons were drafted into Group B where they faced off against teams like Natus Vincere and Yellow Submarine. They finished the group stages in a perfect fashion without suffering a single defeat until they met The dudley boys at the Upper Bracket Semifinals of the tournament.

The dudley boys were in Group D where they faced teams like Nemiga Gaming(winners of Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #2 and #4), Alliance and TI 2023 participant, Keyd stars. The dudley boys had only one loss against Nemiga Gaming in the group stages but won the series with a 2-1 score.

At the Upper bracket Semi finals, Game 1 was taken by Team Falcons in what seemed like an onslaught from Team Falcons that completely overwhelmed The dudley boys during the mid to late game. MinD_ContRol’s Slardar seemed to steer The dudley boys to victory in the early game but Yuma’s carry Templar Assassin could not fare well against the mighty Dragon Knight, Mars, and Troll Warlord. ATF’s Mars, Snekykings’ Phoenix, Cr1t’s Weaver, and Malr1ne’s Dragon Knight roamed around the map, forcing skirmishes while skiter’s Troll warlord focused on farming. With this momentum the team eventually snowballed to victory.

In game 2, The dudley boys improvised on their strategy and played how Team Falcons did against them in game 1. Adzantick’s Primal Beast, MinD_ContRol’s Wraith King and 9Class’ support Centaur Warruner, and Xakoda’s Grimstroke started roaming the map early on in the game looking for kills and forcing fights around the map. This proved to be a brilliant strategy as Adaznatick was on a Godlike Streak at the 22nd-minute mark. Due to the free space for Yuma’s Ursa to farm, it didn’t take long for Yuma to join fights early on and eventually snowball the game. Dudley boys ended the game with a triple kill and a Beyond Godlike spree for Yuma at the 33 minute mark.

Now with the blueprint in the hands of the dudley boys, they continued their aggressive game style and played similarly in game 3, forcing fights around the map. This proved to be effective against Team Falcon who lost all Tier 2 towers within 25 minutes. Team Falcons eventually succumbed to the intense pressure from The dudley boys and called it quits at the 34th-minute mark, accepting their place in the lower bracket where they will face off against Yellow Submarine. Whereas, The dudley boys secured a safe passageway to the Upper bracket finals against Team Tickles.
