TI12 qualifiers in WEU take place from 27th to 31st August 2023.

In the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 3: Division II, Nigma Galaxy survived a three way tiebreaker to advance back to Division 1. Achieving this milestone will have instilled confidence in the team as it begins preparation for the all-important The International 12 (TI12)'s qualifiers in August. In a recent post-match interview, Nigma's offlaner "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov stated that the team was confident they would do well during the qualifiers, remarking that they would “smash everyone.” MinD_ContRoL also spoke about how Nigma has grown since the beginning of Division II with two new players on the roster.

A few minutes after Nigma won the tiebreaker against ex-Monaspa, MinD_ContRoL came for the post-match winner’s interview and expressed his gratitude to the fans for the support, and asserted confidence in the team's TI12 qualifier performance.

“Thanks to all the fans out there. Keep supporting us. We are gonna give you a great show in TI qualifiers and we are gonna smash everyone.”

The signs continued to be grim for Nigma, a team that has struggled in recent years, when it began Division II this season, as it lost two of the first three series. But the team recovered impressively. During the interview, MinD_ContRoL cited improved strategy and the steady development of confidence in the two new players as the reasons for better performance.

“First of all, our strategies, we needed more practice on them. We were a bit shaky on some of our strategies. Then we also needed to relieve the pressure a little bit for the new teammates when they play these official games. So, they needed a little bit of experience like - a few games, so they break this pressure and finally play their game that they want, I think that helped a lot, especially the losses that we went through. So they build up their confidence for the next games.”

Before the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division II, Nigma signed two young players Yuma "Yuma" Langlet and Kasra "Mikey" Mesbah both of whom bring incredible skill but little professional experience to the roster.

Overall, MinD_ContRoL is pleased to be back in Division I following what he described as difficult Bo1 tiebreakers for the squad. Nigma will play in TI12 regional qualifiers from 27th to 31st August for one of the two available slots.
