Following Team Falcons' win at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, midlaner Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak was presented with the Most Valuable Award (MVP) where he made an interesting comment regarding the team's form.
Malr1ne believes Falcons can still play better despite the win, and their current form is less than ideal. Their current rating sits at a mere one out of ten.
Additionally, he said he would give the MVP award to their coach Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling since he constantly instills confidence in the players.

As BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 progressed, Team Falcons became more convincing, and by the time it reached the grand final, the team’s draft strategy and execution were so immaculate that it registered a 3-0 victory over Team Liquid. Following the team's win, midlaner Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak was presented with the Most Valuable Award (MVP) where he made an interesting comment. In Malr1ne's view, Falcons can still play better despite the win, and the current form isn't the best. Malr1ne stays humble in post-match interview after BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 win

As Malr1ne came for the post-match interview, where he was also given the MVP award, he was rather humble despite such a significant win.

“We can play better, we are still a weak team, this is just the beginning. I can't keep [the MVP medal], I have to give this award to Aui_2000. He constantly gives us confidence, it helps.”

The midlaner also emphasized that the team improved over the course of the event and that it still has a long way to go before they become the best.

“At the beginning of the tournament we thought that we would soon fly home. We weren't sure about our strategies, but then we turned our heads and turned the situation in the right direction. We are now playing somewhere around 0.5 or 1 point out of 10, we are waiting for the next tournaments.”

During the BetBoom Dacha tournament, Falcons were in Group A of a very competitive group, and the team ended up with a six-win and four-loss record. The only Best of 2 series it lost was against Team Liquid.

As the playoffs began, the team's solid drafting helped it take down two of the best performing Chinese teams, Xtreme Gaming and Azure Ray, to reach the upper bracket final. It then overcame BetBoom Team, advancing to the grand final.

During these games, Falcons consistently deployed key players on their signature heroes, like Oliver "skiter" Lepko on Naga Siren, Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf on Mars and Razor, while Malr1ne was able to offer much more versatility from the midlane than he is known for.

Against Team Liquid, competitive drafts that matched Liquid's speed and solid decision making across the three games guided Falcons to a 3-0 victory.

For Falcons, this is a promising start to the 2024 competitive season, with many more tier one competitions planned. It will now return to DreamLeague Season 22, which begins on 25th Feb.
