Liquid Adds Nisha to Round Out its Roster

Team Liquid has announced that it has added Michał "Nisha" Jankowski to its Dota 2 lineup to round out its roster for the next season of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit.
Nisha will replace the departing Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen who recently announced his retirement from competitive Dota 2.
The addition of Nisha is Team Liquid's only roster change of this season.

Team Liquid has just announced that it has signed Michał "Nisha" Jankowski for its Dota 2 roster. The Polish star will be filling in the void left by Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen's departure following the conclusion of The International 2022 (TI11). He will be joining Michael "miCKe" Vu, Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg, Samuel "Boxi" Svahn, and Aydin "Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi in Team Liquid's lineup.

Widely regarded by many as the most individually skilled Dota 2 player in the world, Nisha, departed from Team Secret following the conclusion of TI11 after securing a runner-up finish in the tournament.

In the announcement video, Nisha confirmed that he will be playing in the mid lane for Team Liquid.

Nisha is the final piece of Team Liquid's Dota 2 roster

Team Liquid announced Nisha's addition to the team via a YouTube video. "First of all, I wanted to try a new team," explained Nisha in the announcement video. "Why Team Liquid? I don't know. I feel like I will be comfortable, it seemed like probably the top org in the world."

Nisha added that he was looking forward to hanging out and playing with his new teammates. "I really wanted to play with miCKe for sure. iNSaNiA is a fun guy and I think he works hard, from what I've seen I will enjoy playing with him," he added.

He also added that he was looking forward to reuniting with Zai and playing with Boxi who owned TI11.

Nisha explains why he left Team Secret

Nisha also explained his departure from Team Secret by stating that he wanted to try something new. He said, "Even though we changed like three players during the season, it still wasn't enough I think."

He added that he wanted to change the overall picture and that joining Team Liquid would give him that much needed change. "I need to be enabled in some ways and I don't think I had power in the last team to bring those things up," he elaborated.

He finally added that he felt like he would thrive with Team Liquid and that he aims to win TI and every other tournament with his new team, next season.

With Nisha's addition Team Liquid's new lineup for the next Dota 2 Pro Circuit season is as follows:

  • Samuel "Boxi" Svahn

  • Aydin "Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi

Team Liquid will be kicking off the new season with coach William "Blitz" Lee and analyst Mathis "Jabbz" Friesel. Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka has departed from the team as he announced his retirement once again.
