In another showing of top form, T1 earned its second victory by a scoreline of 2-0 in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Aisa (SEA) 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1 by outclassing Team SMG. Despite its only second win in the tournament, the team is already looking like the team to beat. However, one T1 series that will be particularly interesting is the one against BOOM Esports. Carlo "Kuku" Palad, T1’s captain, revealed in the post-match winner's interview with BTS after the win over Team SMG that in the remaining five series, he was looking forward to facing BOOM Esports. Kuku noted that they had scrimmed BOOM Esports four times and were tied 2-2.

Kuku highlights BOOM Esports' strength by noting its scrim results against T1

BOOM Esports and T1 have been looking like two of the most promising teams in the DPC SEA Tour 1: Division 1 so far and thus, the matchup between the two teams is eagerly anticipated by fans. Kuku's jokingly revealing the scrims results in the post-match interview has heightened the excitement for the match. “We scrim them, like four games, and we 2-2. Ah, I leak. (laughs),” Kuku responded when asked if BOOM Esports would pose a challenge to his team.

T1 and BOOM Esports were already considered two of the strongest teams at the start of the DPC 2021-22 Tour 1. While T1 garnered wide attention due to performances during the previous season and a top eight finish at TI10, BOOM Esports' new roster entered the DPC after winning back to back tournaments. The two teams will meet either in week five or week six. Week 5 is likely to begin on 12th Jan 2022.

Kuku talks about the win against Team SMG

In the interview, Kuku also touched upon the series win against Team SMG.

During the series, Team SMG made some risky moves, particularly in the second game, which did not work out. Kuku mentioned that Team SMG's Luna and Death Prophet draft in the second game required them to play fast, but the team became too aggressive, and T1 benefited from this. Additionally, he said Team SMG gave away too much information by showing their heroes on the map, something that T1 took advantage of to take the lead.

T1's next opponent in the DPC 2021-22 Tour 1 will be Motivate.Trust Gaming on 15th Dec 2021, another undefeated team. Team SMG will also take on Motivate.Trust next, but that series will be on 11th Dec 2021, just three days later.
