JaCkky Beats His Idol as BOOM Esports Makes its Way Into Gamers Galaxy: Dota 2 Invitational Finals
BOOM Esports' hot streak continues as it beats Nigma Galaxy 2-1 to qualify for the grand final of the Gamers Galaxy: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022. BOOM Esports was caught off guard with a last pick Anti Mage for Ivan Borislavov "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov in the second game, but the team drafted and executed perfectly in the first and third games to take the series win.
In the post game winner’s interview, Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong, the carry player for BOOM Esports, mentioned that after beating his idol - Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi - his emotions were high.

Game 1 saw Nigma Galaxy put its attention on being aggressive by taking a last pick, Nature's Prophet for Miracle-. The laning stage did not see many kills, but Nigma pushed the tempo to seize a 3k lead by the 14th minute. Following this, both teams exchanged blows but a major teamfight loss for Nigma for the second Roshan tipped the game massively in favor of BOOM. Things went downhill from there for Nigma, which lost the game in 38 minutes.
Game 2 was among the most thrilling of the event. Nigma grabbed a last pick Anti Mage in the offlane for MinD_ContRoL, while Yopaj picked up Bracers and a Blade Mail as the initial items on a Queen of Pain mid. It was a game of constant fighting, with both teams losing heroes frequently. Nigma led the networth by a small margin for most of the game, but it wasn't until 49 minutes that the team managed to take a massive teamfight victory to close the game in its favor.
Game 3 saw stable drafts from both teams as they chose heroes that they are comfortable with. By the end of 20 minutes, BOOM Esports' superior execution was evident as it moved to a 10k lead. iLTW's Luna struggled mightily while JaCkky's Medusa had an exceptional game. Nigma fought back very well towards the end of the game but was still way too far behind, losing in 40 minutes.

The expectations of BOOM Esports doing well at the Gamers Galaxy: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022 were high, but the way the team has handled itself against some of the best teams in the world is simply incredible. After knocking off the likes of Team Secret, Team Spirit, and now Nigma Galaxy, the team has reached the grand finals where it will face Tundra Esports. In the post-match interview, JaCkky was visibly overcome with emotion after defeating both his idol Miracle- as well as reaching the grand final in only his first LAN event.
After powering through teams with some aggressive gameplay, Nigma Galaxy eventually loses the lower bracket final to a much better BOOM team. Considering how Tour 1 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) went, Nigma will be pleased with the way it performed in this event. It takes home $54,500 USD as prize money.
