In two days' time OG will begin its journey to defend its title at The International 10 (TI10). It's no secret that the team hasn't been in great form lately, but many people in the community still rate them on the higher side. As an example, Team Liquid's captain, Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi, has wagered on the defending champion to win TI10 in his in-game Compendium predictions. In a recent Twitch livestream, iNSaNiA explained why he believes that to be the case. In his opinion, the key to OG's success is not even their Dota 2 skills, but their ability to stay on top of the game and always be focused. He added that this was OG's "superpower," as most of the other teams have a problem keeping their emotions in check under high-pressure situations.
iNSaNiA lauds OG’s attitude ahead of TI10
On his Twitch livestream, iNSaNiA gave his predictions for various events in TI10's Compendium, including his choice for OG to be the winner. When viewers asked why he chose to select them, iNSaNiA eloquently relayed how OG can achieve success through their positive attitude and steadfastness under pressure.
“Their biggest strength is not even Dota related. It’s just their attitude and the way they are as humans. I don’t really think they tilt, they don’t really get mad, they just play the game for what it is in every situation that they are in. It’s like a superpower because most people, myself included, get emotional in a negative way sometimes and that affects the way you play and especially at high-pressure events, I think it’s even more true. And I think OG is just really good at keeping their emotions in check and just doing what’s best. I think that is what gives them a lot of potential to win.”
Some of the viewers then conveyed that Syed “SumaiL” Sumail Hassan, OG’s latest recruit, is one of those players who tends to let his emotions get the better of him. But, iNSaNiA reported that when he played with Team Liquid, he was mostly calm. Furthermore, iNSaNiA noted that regardless of how SumaiL feels, OG's environment would ensure he stays relaxed.
“For example, you see SumaiL tilt, but, during the period that I played with him, he doesn’t really tilt during games. He might be getting mad after a game once in a while and have some thoughts but he doesn’t really get angry during games. In OG, I imagine that they are able to calm him down, or probably because of the environment, he does not get as annoyed.”
In two weeks’ time, we shall see if iNSaNiA's prediction, of OG winning its third TI in a row, stands true or not.
TI10 starts on 7th Oct 2021 and will last for 10 days until 17th Oct 2021. Will the OG 3peat become a reality?
